  1. I bet the purchasers thought it would be for their lives, not the life of the club
  2. My money is on no court case. There will suddenly be a need for a further adjournment - that cliff is getting nearer....
  3. He has to say that, as there is a remote possibility they will repay the last CVA in full. My sides are splitting as I type.....
  4. Don't disagree, just pointing out that they probably wouldn't be considered ordinary outside of the island....
  5. ordinary? This is on the isle of Portsea you know....
  6. By Jove, I think he nearly gets it: http://www.portsmouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=532734 Surely it's one of us on a wind up?
  7. They make it too easy for us!! - Represent Pompey In the Changing Room. The title could suggested that you could take along your boots for a game: http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Represent-Pompey-In-The-Changing-Room-4052.aspx I think this phrase must be a joke: 'Each Football League club will be represented by approximately 200 fans, so act quickly to ensure you are one of them.'
  8. It had gone too quiet - I was beginning to think that the gift had finally stopped giving!
  9. I think most of their contracts run until mid Jan so a few more weeks of the Not Vet HNWI having to stump up for some overpaid mercenaries to take them nearer the trapdoor. Such fun!
  10. Given the season I think it's only right to share something certain to put a smile on everyone's faces: 20 Carlisle 23 pts 21 Portsmouth 21 pts 22 Bury 20 pts 23 S****horpe 20 pts 24 Hartlepool 9 pts Just think how much better it could look if they ever get taken over and have the 10 deducted. Merry Christmas nutjobs.
  11. "We can't tell you how much money we have because of the court case" becomes: http://www.chichester.co.uk/news/business/syndicate-takes-pompey-fans-pledges-past-1m-1-4615125 Although to be fair they still haven't told us how much they have given that it still only refers to pledges - if pledges are that low then they need to convert c.185% of them - in Pompey maths I guess that's possible!
  12. Trousers, you are slipping! It is still only a possibility - they have to be taken over for it to be come a certainty! Whilst liquidation remains a possibililty then so do the points deductions!
  13. Are those sessions at the MUGA at Swanmore - my stepson trains on a Thursday there.
  14. If you head out of BW up Beeches Hill it's on the junction with the Morestead Road towards Winchester. I think it's the Bellemoor estate (nothing to do with the school in Shirley!)
  15. It's a SO post code, and a rather large estate (actually huge) just outside Bishops Waltham where unfortunately it's 50 / 50 mix of Skates and Saints. Mind you the kids who play for the local football team seam to be wearing less blue these days.....
  16. He didn't even need his toes to count that high then!
  17. Guys - watch out, remember there will be a 'coach load' of pompey fans up there looking for someone else to blame. I make that you 5 or 6 versus 2 so you should be fine.
  18. I don't think the number of pledges will stop them buying the club - it just will mean that the HNWI will own more of the club as a %. The purchase of shares (sorry donations) will only give some working capital, hence Andy Awful softening the phew up to expect them to play their yoof team. The only thing that will stop them buying the club is if the court case doesn't go the way of the property developers.
  19. You're forgetting that on that island even loan sharks will be a bit more careful who they give money too, given what's happened to one of their own!
  20. only read this when you do not have any coffee in your mouth that you might spit out... http://www.pompeytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=479%3Ayoung-pompey-fan-gets-on-his-bike-to-buy-his-hare&catid=34%3Ademo-category
  21. Apparently he did a DNA test of all visiting home fans, but couldn't believe that they only found one unique DNA, so he wrote down 200k cos it sounds good.
  22. As expected - you give us £1000 that you cannot ever withdraw (unless they want to let you), you will never get a dividend, you do not know how bigger a share in the company it buys you, if they don't convert enough then the HNWI will be a majority making your voting rights approximately zero, but it does give you an unspecified discount on a season ticket. Interestingly it does not say anything about what happens to your £1k if for whatever reason they do not complete the deal to buy the club! It's almost as good a proposal as lending them £1k - at least then you could get 0.4p in the pound return at some point - maybe.
  23. I can't remember....
  24. This is just plain wrong. They can play the youngsters, but if they did they would then form part of a first team squad and they cannot sign anyone else if you have a minimum of 20 in your squad. Therefore they can play the entire youth team in the cup, and then back to the journeymen they already have, but they won't be able to dump a journeyman and replace him with a slightly better one. It seems that the snooze continues to peddle half truths and blame everyone of their issues on the FL - it's actually Poopey's decision to not play the kids and no-one elses.
  25. In hampshire the allowance is 10% plus 1mph so you were only 1mph over I got done doing 35mph a few weeks back and did the awareness course. It's £85, but I figured I had to pay £60 anyway so it was £25 and a half day off work to avoid the points.
