  1. Planning on driving up.. Any idea on parkins other than the £5 at the ground which is great until you want to get away after the game!
  2. Oh and talking of needing songs for midfielders... still think the old 'Our Claus song' (Our house by Madness) should be reused for James Ward-Prowse "Ward-Prowse, in the centre of midfield, Ward-Prowse"
  3. Score a goal Morgan Schneiderlin, we will love you more than you will know, ooooohhoo (to the Heres to you Mrs Robinson/Old Neil Shipperley song)
  4. 25 man Squad who have travelled: GK: Davis, Forecast Def: Richardson, Butterfield, Fonte, Hooiveld, Seaborne, Stephens, Fox, Harding, Shaw Mid: Guly, Chaplow, Puncheon, Hammond, Davis, Schneiderlin, Chambers, Ward-Prowse, Lallana, De Ridder Str: Sharp, Lambert, Lee, Rodriguez Barnard, Forte, Dickson, Hoskins, Reeves playing with development squad and Cork with Team GB
  5. Did it at Plymouth season before last when we all but sealed promotion backto Championship - wasnt able to go originally, then when I could, away end had sold out so four of us were surrounded by Plymouth mob and a fair few other Saints mind, most of us had to sit quietly though a few who did celebrate were soon picked out and kicked out... Only time Ive done it, and wouldnt rush to do it again unless a last resort...
  6. Another reason alot of home games for preseason is the further testing of Hawk Eye at St Marys in game situations
  7. Anyone signed up to comment on the WSC site and give a little more details as to how he ended up with us etc - two comments on their already which need to be "answered"
  8. Newcastle did want to keep him and offered him a new contract a few months back but he opted to see out his contract and go on a free to get first team football... Definately worth trying to pick up as hes a free but wages maybe a stumbling block now.. depends how much he wants to play and whether a more established team like Stoke, Villa etc will offer more
  9. They definately had this one as well.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUBz4J1Gc-w Would love to find the actual goal music though
  10. Read into this what you will, but he was the first player to leave after the game on Saturday - we were waiting down the chapel car park, and he came out of an exit still in his playing kit with a saints bench coat and trainers on, signed a few autographs, a couple of pics then jumped into passenger side of range rover which then proceded to speed off. Richardson, Connolly, Reeves, Doble and Dickson followed about 10-15 mins after and as we were walking back round the stadium, Martin, Jaidi, Seaborne and then Morgan emerged too
  11. Block 43 and some of 44 will go on sale on Monday/Tuesday once Coventry go down and they return their remaining unsold allocation
  12. i think its simply player goes round the circle asking who they want in 'piggy in the middle' next.. although used for junior teams mainly, in adults training it can be quite amusing and encourages banter, on who ends up on in the middle. Its a more light hearted way of choosing the one in middle rather than someone just saying right 'your in'
  13. yes £10 it is, its a barrier operated system so you pay at the machine when you return
  14. In other news, Dan Harding will start at left back
  15. thanks guys, must have been away when that was on there, the wording of the flyer - and also the article - could have been better phased then
  16. While buying my sister a ticket for Barnsley this Saturday at the ticket office last night, i was given a flyer about the pompey tickets but on the back there is another advert about the Coventry home game which says "Tickets to the all important last game of the season must be bought in conjuction with either the Ipswich game or Barnsley game." I dont remember seeing any announcement of this on the website and having only read the flyer after leaving the ticket office, seems a bit silly to try and link the two games. Also checking on the website it mentions no details of Reading or Coventry tickets - Just Barnsley, Doncaster, and P**pey... Has anyone bought Coventry tickets yet?
  17. Picked up injury - NA says he is still very much in his plans Source: Solent Twitter
  18. Thinking realisitically i.e having cover on bench, I just started to jot down mine and i gave up.. i started with same back 5 and front two but then had Chappers, Cork Schneiderlin Lallana in mid and for bench Guly, Connolly, Martin, Bart couldnt decide on Punch, Hammond, De ridder, Lee for final spot on bench
  19. Charlie Austin... Poole Town to Swindon ok he was 19/20 Matt Tubbs was 26 when he went from... Salisbury to Crawley and although he only stepped up a couple of leagues at first, hes showing he can still score against higher league clubs. There are talents out there who may not get the break into league football til late, so although a gamble - isnt every transfer!?
  20. one of the season ticket holders a few rows back from me had martin 17 last season the number he was.. but his name was martin and he is 17.. so fitted well
  21. Andy Williams 21 when he first burst on to the scene has got to be my most random!!! Also had Berkovic 29, Skacel 7, LittleLat17, Pahars 17 a few times, not had anything since Pahars departed
  22. Take it Cork and Chaplow's apps/goals dont include their previous 'stint' with the club?

    Fox's sub..

I thought the same - it seemed to me there was a mixup in communication, as NA asked Foxy when he came off he is was ok and Foxy seemed to say yeah I could have continued, which surprised NA - possibility that he picked up a knock and said he would give it 5 but the bench thought he would only last another 5.. The truth will out
  24. As i have money on Lambert finishing top scorer in the Champions - deffo his goal!
