Comparing them with Bale is probably a bit unrealistic as if any of them turn out to be 80% as good as Bale they will be very good players indeed. Whilst we were very good in the first 25 minutes, we were by far the lesser team in the second half and without KD having a great game and killer returning we would have lost by 2 or 3. I fear we have been unfortunate with the fixtures this year. 3 hard games first up isn't ideal with such a young team. That said, they showed enough in the first 30 minutes to make me think we can stay up.

Good. Some people on here seem to think that we're better off sticking with Double Dutch Youth Experiment rather than getting taken over on the grounds that Alan Shearer isn't experienced and we had a reasonably good performance against West Ham.

Anyone who thinks closing the corners, stopping some bus tickets and letting a few players go has meant we don't still need investment is missing the point and putting sentimentality ahead of the facts.... ...the fact is that we will still make a massive loss unless we sell millions of pounds worth of players each year. One year (maybe this one?) we will have no one to sell who is worth much. We will then be STUFFED. It would be nice to see a team of local lads giving 110% "for the badge", with a progressive set-up untarnished by the greed, caprice and lack of integrity that characterises modern football and succeeding.... but let's face it, that's a 1 in a 1,000 shot and the pro game is probably beyond that. If you want that, go and watch your local non-league team. We are financially buuggered. Any takeover that injects significant equity or refinances debt on favourable terms cannot be overlooked, no matter how likeable and honest JP seems.

They may have passed a judgment in a specific case or two saying that a given agreement was invalid or unenforceable. For obvious public policy reasons, which you yourself earlier alluded to, they are quite clearly not going to deliver a judgment which states that all standard form loans created before April 2007 are void or unenforceable, if there are a significant amount of such loans such as would cause a complete **** up in the banking system (which one would expect there are). By all means, take your bank to court if you think it's a good idea though! Sounds to me like someone's thinking of launching a cheap, nasty, opportunistic legal product; that's all.

Clearly no court is going to pass a judgment which renders the majority of existing personal debt agreements unenforceable or void.
