Was talking to a couple of Germans last summer who supported some small East German team... anyway, they said that their club promotes "happy hour" and the ground is full 2 hours before kick-off. If the club marketed a similar thing as a proper beery-laddish-cheapo-pre-match-booze-fest (stick some birds in bikinis on the telly, get some slags to serve the drinks etc..) I think it could be quite successful. Unfortunately, in this PC gone mad, Guardian hugging, tree wearing world we live in it's probably not going to happen.

The only time any takeover rumours have affected our shareprice was when the national and local print, radio and television media were suggesting that one of the world's richest men was about to express an interest. FFS - that's why these threads always turn into un-navigable monsters. Let's take it at face value: OP says Fulthorpe has told him takeover's imminent.... well he's told several people that over the course of several months. It seems as though the £50m Dubai war-fund has been ditched now though. There is no reason to doubt the OP's comments (indeed they seem to have been verified by other posters anyway).

Baj, I reccomend you do read articles before publishing them. You wouldn't want to get in any legal hot-water or other sort of bother with any parties (and I'm not being tongue in cheek there; seriously, someone should proof-read the material.)

Try and get 3 weeks at least is my advice and go to all the southern islands if you're after a beery but also excellent holiday. 3 nights in Bangkok is enough (3 minutes is enough for some people although I liked it!) If you decide Bangkok isn't seedy enough for you, go to Pattaya.
