  1. Apparently after an "arguement" with a Mr Bernard. HTFILN
  2. Apparently "300" of the bestest at Oldham!!!!! Massive!!!!!
  3. "He tried to convince Coutinho coming from you?" Not entirely convinced with this. Getting a bit worried about how we carry out our transfer negotiations.??
  4. Yeah I thought that too. But fair play, his four week reign will be fondly remembered!!!
  5. Oh dear!!!!! Out of the bottom 6 clubs - 3 won - 2 drew - 1 lost. Wonder who lost????? WTFILN
  6. Wigansaint planning to park at the ground and then head for The Anvil. How far is it from the ground to The Anvil? Never been to Wigan before. thanks in advance.
  7. "Simon Wright a visiting West Bromwich Albion fan informs me; 'Beside the away turnstiles is an entrance to a bar, specifically for the use of away fans. It has the usual bar, big screen television and sells pies, as well as teas and coffees. It's a great facility and welcomes families' It is know as the Marquee Bar as it resembles one inside. The traditional pub for away fans visiting the DW stadium is the Red Robin, which is only a few minutes walk away from the ground opposite the Cinema Complex. Otherwise in the centre of town is a Wetherspoons outlet called the 'Moon Under Water' which was popular with away supporters on my last visit. Also worth a visit is the award winning 'Anvil' pub, which is located next to the bus station. Both these pubs are listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Also worth a mention is the Berkeley on Wallgate (near the railway station). This fair sized pub, had a good mix of home and away supporters on my last visit, serves five ever changing real ales and shows Sky Sports on a huge screen. Otherwise alcohol is available inside the stadium. Andrew MacGregor adds; 'The Swan and Railway pub opposite North Western railway station was very welcoming. They encouraged us to put our Reading flag up in the window and were very pleasant to us all'. "Car Parking: There is a large car park at the stadium, specifically for the use of away supporters, which costs £5 per car or motorbike, £10 for mini buses and £20 for coaches. As you may expect though, there is sometimes quite a delay in getting out of this car park after the game, especially if there has been a larger than normal crowd in attendance. Make sure though that you avoid parking on the nearby Retail Park, as parking there is restricted to two hours and I have been informed of a number of fans who have ended up getting parking tickets (£50) because of this." Lifted from the Wigan site.
  8. Sorry but every time I see the statue picture I just can't stop laughing - never fails - everytime !!
  9. As it is now 02:02 on Friday morning - this!
  10. "We have received a total of 4074 Middlesbrough tickets. This is our full allocation and no further tickets will be made available." With what could now possibly happen I’m ****ing glad that I have mine. COYS
  11. Neil - We've booked into the Thistle. Seems a decent hotel and the closest hotel to the ground apparently.
  12. Staying in the Thistle right by the ground
  13. Aussie Saint - me and my nipper are staying in Boro on the Saturday night and travelling back to Wirral on the Sunday. As we pass through Liverpool you are more than welcome to grab a lift with us if you want too.
  14. Many thanks "View From The Top"
  15. Any news on when the tickets go on sale for this one?
  16. Griffo the first few rows were sitting but the back rows were all standing. I agree with you about people travelling all that way and not singing, standing etc. but today we really were that ****ing useless that it literally did test the patience of a Saint.
  17. been back a while now and still not calmed down. First things first the best team won. They competed for everything, won nearly every 50:50 ball and quite simply wanted it more than us. We were ****. No pride, no passion, no ****ing interest, no football, just hoof. Corners, set pieces, crossing etc. woefull. Too many players with one eye on next week may explain why we couldn't even put a proper challenge in. Promotion? Make no bones about it this was drivel from start to finish (OK maybe except a 7 - 8 minute period at the end) and on this performance is bottom 4 form. I challenge any Saint who was here today to disagree. MOM? In all honesty I woudn't pick anyone. Songs today included "2 nil to the referee" - he made a couple of poor decisions (my honest opinion Barny dived) but can't blame him for such a gutless performance - and "I wanna go home, I wanna go home, Tranmere's a **** hole, I wanna go home" summed it all up and hit the nail on the head.
  18. anyone know how many we've sold for Tranmere? I know we sold out the first allocation of 500 but no news since then.
  19. Hoddle is a Judas who used Saints as a stepping stone to get back into management with a Prem club after being ****ed off by England. Certainly don't want him back.
  20. Don't have the answer but was thinking exactly the same thing myself!
  21. Read most of the posts on here and there are a lot saying that we cannot blame the ref for our loss. Wrong. The referee was ****ing **** today. He was stopping the game all over the park and awarding free kicks for fair shoulder charges and when it was inside the box he bottled it. Stonewall penalty for us that he did'nt give. 1500 Saints appealed at the same time for the penalty (the first instance before they were awarded one and not the "appeal" for the one after thiers when we "went looking for it"). Dire game and summed up by the Saints fans singing "2 - 1 to the referee"
  22. Was a poor game all round really, very little quality shown by either side. However ref was appauling, their pen was a joke, their guy went for an overhead kick and comehow came away with a pen??! One of their defenders push one of ours full 2 hands in the back in their box nothing was given. Lambert was winning headers all day but was getting fouls called against him for something, I think the ref should go back to taking charge of basketball games. But tbf we did little to deserve a win, but certainly didnt deserve to loose. 2-1 to the ref.
  23. Just ordered 3 tickets and the ticket office said that they were selling well - so hopefully we will shift the 1500 and get some more.
  24. Depends what you want to do Saturday night. Liverpool has loads of places if you want the late night and clubs. For a quieter night Hoylake (where the Open Golf was held) has enough pubs and bars and is about a 15 min drive from Tranmere with a few B&B's around the Meols & Hoylake area.
  25. Anyone staying up for the weekend obviously Liverpool or Chester are good for nights out but give Birkenhead a miss. Its a ****hole. Pub for the day would suggest the half way house in Prenton (10 min walk from ground) and does some decent food as well.
