Heard from a credible source that Ryan Smith went AWOL this weekend and will not be retained as a result.

League deduct 10 Points - Will apply in L1 Next Season
the wedge replied to Danny's topic in The Saints
Looking around the various media websites in the UK, there seems to be a reasonable amount of support for our plight. 606 and SSN users have posted some good words mixed with some mindless rubbish from the odd Portsmouth fan and Spurs fan. This has raised my spirits a little, if you're going to go down, it's always good to know that there are people out there who do genuinely care for how bad things have got for our club. What we need now is a final show of support from us the fans, I appeal to Luker and the club to just do anything to get rid of the remaining tickets and fill out the ground for what may prove to be the last game we play, unless someone is happy to buy a league one team. My theory on the OS' silence is that the staff must've been called into a meeting or briefing of some sort to clarify the club's situation, and the status of their jobs. -

It wouldn't surprise me if he left the club, took his coat and cleared his desk before the redundancy knife falls. -
Fantastic, GM. Wonderful idea.

we have no fight, no desire and no passion. We have a team of overrated youngsters, over the hill pros and some that should never have been signed. for saints.

The Daily Mail has published a view from Barnsley and Luton hierarchies, apologies if this has already been posted somewhere... 'The fact they may not be docked points is unlikely to sit well with the other teams in the relegation scrap, while the League's bottom club Luton - themselves deducted 30 points relating to their own fall into administration - have been quick to voice their disapproval. "This makes a mockery of the Football League's attempt to uphold the integrity of the competition," said their managing director Gary Sweet. "If this sails through I see no reason why any football club should not set up a holding company that carries the entire debt of the club which is periodically put into administration in order to cleanse debt while attracting no sanctions." Barnsley, only four points above Saints and one above the drop zone, were also predictably unimpressed. Director Don Rowing told PA Sport: "When clubs in any division start a season, they hope to retain their status by their performance on the field. "However, there are regulations that we all have to adhere to and Southampton were aware, as all other clubs are, that should they go into administration, they would face a points deduction. "The fact that they have not done is because they have found a loophole which gives them an advantage over their competitors in the Championship and goes against the spirit of the competition." '

Personally I definitely think it's a great idea to give this a go. Match threads are dependant upon regular updates for those who can't listen to the game, and chatrooms are the perfect solution, instant updating whereas here you have to F5 the screen and wait for ages for it to reload. Hope it goes well.

Too bloody right. Anyone who thinks it's such a good idea to reduce our players to tears or violence must really be proud of themselves today, there is never ever an excuse for that kind of behaviour. I have no doubt in my mind that the majority of our players give their ****ing all for this club under the most difficult circumstances imaginable at their young age. The people who 'allegedly' reduced themselves to this are not true fans and I think it is absolutely despicable that this behaviour is resorted to. These players need encouragement and SUPPORT, to get the club back up the table, which is more than possible. Divert your criticism to the board and management up top, NOT the players.

Soft Hertfordshire wimps, it's fine in NW London!! Grr.

I live about 15/20 mins from Watford, and the weather although wet is quite bright and warm. Any snow or ice that was left from this week's carnage is being washed away so I'm quite optimistic it'll be on.

I'm pretty sure it's James who's in charge of the site, and indeed the matchday program...

Read a wicked article in the London Paper today about Michelin starred restaurants that do two+ courses for under £20 at lunchtime. I'll have a dig around for t paper.

Telling O2 you're leaving unless you get what you want is a good tactic... Orange are suckers for it

I'm a first year student at a London Drama School which is attached to the University of London. I think it's fair to say that in industry such as the arts and media, the experience of working in context on placements etc is just as important, if not more, than the grades gained and academia studied. It's my opinion that this is becoming more apparent in the syllabuses of Unis nowadays, my course for example sends our group of 20 out on regular work placements in all kinds of contexts. Already this term I've worked in two secondary schools in Wimbledon, four theatre companies and I've got one at the Beeb coming up next term. Work experience is the new degree, but the experience of Uni is unrivalled I think. The social life, the discounts and the people you meet are invaluable. I blagged myself two tickets to the premiere of Revolutionary Road on Sunday, met the stars, tread the red carpet etc, and that wouldn't have happened had I not been a student. Good times! (Apart from the fact you're perpetually skint.)

May I ask how they were caught?
