Are we done now with opinions about the shareholders? Does anybody have an opinion about the board? I think they do a crackin' job in the circumstances. For example selecting the manager is far more important than selecting players, and it's one of the reasons we are where we are.

You need a local pub. For local people.

Swansea are relegation fodder, I'll be very surprised if they manage to stay up. And we will finish above Leicester (again). But Brett will feel self-righteously vindicated on the odd weekend that we fail to win and one of them do.

I don't think it's that kind of club.

He's had 19 minutes so far in the league, against Sawnsea. It isn't easy to score from the bench.

I once got into an argument with a girl in my class in primary school, she was telling everybody she could run faster than me. So we took it outside to the playground. She beat me.

I met a bloke recently that claimed he could remember seeing van Dijk play for Saints. He was pretty old, though.

Exactly. Somebody earlier gave us the benefit of a lengthy post about the pitfalls of a transaction of this nature. We know absolutely sod all about the nature of this transaction, other than the name of the person (or maybe he's the front man of a consortium?) that has bought 80% of the shares of the company that owns the football club. -
Apparently 'Arry's leg is playing up again, it's touch and go whether he can put up with the excruciating pain for much longer. It'll probably get the better of him just after the end of August.

Some of my earliest memories are seeing him on Sunday Night at the London Palladium on a tiny black and white tv in the '50s. Everybody going round in a circle on that big carousel at the end waving. I can still see it now. End of an era. RIP.
