  1. Funnily enough I was listening to some Scottish football on the radio on Saturday, and they happened to mention that Raith Rovers are just waiting for international clearance, then they can sign Rudi Skacel.
  2. Good work
  3. Does Ward Prowse count as two?
  4. They're in a far worse predicament than normal. Usually they top up their squad with half a dozen emergency loans from higher leagues after the season starts, and those loanees make up half of their first team. They will have to hope that the rule change makes everybody else equally bad this season.
  5. Why does anybody think that a decent manager would want the England job? Your boss is a comittee of halfwits. You haven't got a squad to manage. There are tabloid journalists rummaging through your bins every night. The England manager will always be somebody that has given up their proper job and wants to put their feet up.
  6. The investment is double that. Purchase price a bit under fifteen million, and thirty-odd million debt to equity swap.

It's amazing what you can buy with the odd barrel or two of oil, even at today's prices.
  8. It's from the BBC website. I'm trying to remain Trump-free today, but it isn't easy.
  9. A quote from the Prime Minister of France: Wow. I'm not sure I would be happy if our PM said that. Maybe indicative of why there is such a problem in France.

South Africa doesn't have nuclear weapons.
  11. But on the BBC this afternoon following the release of this report, the IMF spokesman said that they have very little post referendum information to go on, the downgrade is a result of the current uncertainty and their forecast will probably be amended next month when they have more information.
  12. We invented tarmac, and we still have plenty of entrepreneurs in that field.
  13. You're making the same mistake as wee shoutey, assuming that people voted for the SNP because they want independence rather than because the Labour Party is dead. Remember SNP support is on a continuing decline. They lost their parliamentary majority in the last election. In my opinion that is partly down to the people getting fed up listening to her ranting on about independence, only two years after they told her decisively that they don't want it.
  14. There is no legal precedent for what happens once a member state triggers article 50. It's a whole new ball game.
  15. I think you just made that up. Sure we can't sign a binding new agreement while we're still bound by our EU obligations, but we can talk to whoever the hell we like about whatever the hell we want to.
  16. The manager is trying to convince the owners that they need to dig far deeper into those empty pockets to buy lots more quality players with money they haven't got.
  17. Nothing to worry about.
  18. The PST are reaching out to the fans to raise money to buy a new router. One with Wi-Fi built in.
  19. Yes, you did. You also predicted that Remain would win There was always a high probability, even evidence, that either Remain or Leave would win. But you got it right this time.
  20. Yes, but did he actually do it? There are a lot of reports that he didn't. But you can't believe anything you read on the internet these days, can you?
  21. Or the Scottish Taxpayer
  22. Is BJ still an American citizen?
  23. Is that because they don't need a safety certificate for next season? They've been surviving with a series of waivers and a bit of blind eye. The Hillsborough verdict found both the club (Sheffield Wednesday) in the independent safety inspector partly liable for the disaster, so I think inspections from now on will be a bit more rigourous. They had serious access and escape issues in the past, and I havent seen that they have fixed those. So could be facing either a big spend or another capacity reduction.
  24. Let's hope Cameron isn't the only one moving out of Downing Street. It would be very disappointing for Osborne to keep his job, and would not bode well for the future.
  25. I think there's a pretty strong possibility that when Corbyn wins again, there will be a new breakaway Party with most of the current Labour MPs, who will be largely deselected by the faithful before the next General Election anyway, to hoover up the centre left vote. Now is the right time. Look at Scotland. The SNP didn't sweep the board because all the Bravehearts want independence. It was simply because the SNP is a credible centre left social democratic alternative.
