  1. Not guilty
  2. There's a bit of a leap between "draw after 90 minutes" and "the match was drawn". Did the match end after 90 minutes? Just being Devil's Advocate.
  3. True. 4 or 5 of our players could get suspended for the Leeds game.
  4. That'll be half as much of the year as I spend here then. But what do I know. I only make a living building infrastructure. There is a lot of work being done on the urban motorway networks in the big Cities, but it's mostly adding extra lanes, or repairing. It's not building new motorways. It's not an enormous modernisation and it's not happening throughout the Country. Some of it may be overdue, and it is most definately all happening now because of the World Cup. But most of it would have happened anyway, in due course. My point is that South Africa already had urban infrastructure in the large cities which is equal to or better than many first world countries. Yes, I watch Sky News here, and see the reporting from the poorer areas, and the poverty. But that will all still be here after the World Cup is gone. But at least they'll be able to walk along wider motorways to get to bigger stadia to watch football.
  5. Yep, they'll score. We'll score more.

    Bart

Stats are on his side, but I would definately be more comfortable if we had "Shotstopper" Davis in goal at Leeds.
  7. We've now gone 14 games without scoring 4 in a match. Unacceptable. Pardew out.
  8. Every one of those games is winnable. Not saying that we will win them all, but we are capable of winning them all. Even Leeds. Tranmere played their hearts out today, bless 'em, and didn't really trouble us. And we were without 3 of arguably our best players, Davis, Murty and Trot. We only went up 1 place today, but the 3 above us are within our sights. There is a bit of a points gap from 11th to 6th but we're not half way through the season yet. Our current form is not a blip. We are contenders.
  9. Up to 13th. Norwich equalise.
  10. Who told you that? Don't believe everything you see on the telly or read in the papers. A couple of new Stadia doesn't equal an enormous modernisation throughout the Country. The rest is just routine development, repair and maintenance of the existing infrastructure which has been brought forward to make the place look nice for the visitors.
  11. Never been the same since it stopped being the Southern Evening Echo.
  12. No, not all, SIP. And no, I wasn't drunk, just geographically challenged.
  13. Reporting on SSN this morning that Avram Grant has been told that he will have money for new players in January. He could start with Saints Player. It's still on special for £19.99

    Oktoberfest 2010

And you get to go to see Alps? All included in the price? Bargain.
  15. of course - Murdoch. Why didn't we think of that. That way he gets to keep his own Sky money.
  16. It was Plymouth. Geography wasn't my strongest subject. And I forgot about Swindon. I expect to above them too this time next year.
  17. ... as the top club in the South. I know we're focussing our attention on the circus unfolding down the road. But did anybody notice that we stepped over Brighton and Exeter in the league last week? Yeovil will be next, probably on Saturday. But that still leaves Torquay, Reading and both Bristols as well as the Skates. I shudder to think that they were all above us. With a bit of luck, by this time next year they'll all be below us.
  18. How difficult would it be to introduce a rule that if you default on a payment to another club for a player, you can't play that player until your payments are up to date?
  19. I agree, Frank's Cousin. I think the PL will try to help them to avoid admin while they remain in the PL where they can. But I don't think they'll help them in any way to stay up. They will pass the buck to Mawhinger & Co. And the FL will have no sympathy when they get to the CCC. Their best bet at the moment is to do their best to stay up with no resources (which they won't), but at least hang onto the parachute payments for next year. Otherwise they really are ****ed.
  20. They were very, very subdued at SMS in '07
  21. I've never forgiven them for having the audacity to turn up for the '39 Cup Final when they knew there was a war coming!
  22. The usual smell, from the spokesman quoted in the Express article: "People here are working around the clock to make sure this football club does not go into administration." and "chief executive Peter Storrie left at the weekend for a two-week break in Australia" Not all the people, obviously, and "We have gone into Portsmouth to sort out the mess." The vultures have now arrived, to pick over the carcass. And, what does "wide of the mark" mean. When I was coached in the art of answering awkward questions, I was told that there are only 3 possible answers - yes, no or I don't know.

I heard that Big Brother was watching, too.
  24. That proved to be our downfall last season, but for a different reason
  25. That's much too hypothetical. We should restrain ourselves within the bounds of the possible!
