  1. Nah, our nemeses are small league grounds on bleak Tuesday nights in mid-winter. FACT. We'll be fine on Saturday.
  2. Isn't custard a sauce? Wouldn't go at all well with media tart.
  3. We WILL get calls from player's agents during the last few days of the window, when they realise that the offers they were expecting from PL/nPC clubs for their players haven't materialised.
  4. But if he was here for a trial, it does seem to indicate that we're still looking for an "impact player" in the "you know who" mould.
  5. No question, I am, in Islamic terms, a "Kaffir". But ughrub?
  6. Don't forget, the CVA was effectively "voted-in" by a huge majority of football creditors, who get 100% anyway, and were all represented by "nominees". Nothing to do with the real creditors, and entirely manipulated by Andy & Baloo. That farcical vote gave Andy unrestricted power to vary the terms of the CVA as he sees fit (my own interpretation of the UK's ludicrous insolvency laws)
  7. Shokran gazeer.
  8. Yep, the Classic was the saloon version of the original Capri. Same "cut-back" rear window as the 60's Anglia. I remember them well.
  9. Could've been worse. I'll take that - you don't need to win every game to win promotion. No shots on target - the header pulled back off the line was off target then?
  10. Time to make this bit of supremacy pay.
  11. Listen around mine, then.
  12. Unlikely. What if Hammers beat Arsenal 4-0 today. No club would sack it's manager after a 4-0 win.
  13. He'll never drop down to the Conference
  14. Isn't that what Brighton are saying about us?
  15. I'll take either of those
  16. We don't need a replacement in case Punch goes, we need a replacement if he goes. There's a difference.
  17. All things being equal, the longer he stays with us, the more we'll get for him
  18. Looks to me like there are only 24 teams left chasing those 2 automatic promotion spots!
  19. The screen is small, admittedly (10.1" 1024x600), but the keyboard on the netbook is exactly the same as the keyboard on my Satellite Pro. I was surprised, I thought it would be smaller, with some keys missing. As I said, I was very surprised. I expected the netbook to deliver a lot less than it does. It's not a portable desktop, but it does everything I do on my £700 laptop, just a little bit slower. If I was spending my own money, it's a no-brainer.
  20. I'm guessing here, but IF Lallana (or any other player) sustains a long(ish) term injury, I expect we have insurance which would cover the cost of a loaned-in replacement. Buying more players for the squad "just in case" doesn't make good business sense. Mr.Cortese is running a sustainable business here.
  21. Any appearance by Ho is always good for another page on here. But it is always good to hear the latest insider news from the Stadium of Shyte straight from the horses mouth.
  22. They reckon we'll already be promoted by then, so might go easy on them.
  23. I know they got "bad press" in another thead on here, but I just got my hands on a new Toshiba Netbook for a family member (NB250-108 ). For just over £200, I was impressed. It will do everything you listed above no problem. Very good battery (5hrs) and Win7. Screen's a bit small if your eyesight's not great, but otherwise I would recommend it to anybody for browsing and occasional work. No DVD, but with 16 & 32GB flash drives, who needs them now anyway? I've been using my own laptop for 6 months now without a DVD, and haven't missed it yet. Very light & portable. There's no e-mail client with Win7, so you'll have to buy Outlook or use one of the free alternatives.
  24. Personally, I think I'd rather he stayed where he is. Gob aside, I think he's done a reasonably good job there, and Burnley could potentially do us more harm next season than Bompey this.
  25. I don't know what you get there, but over here we get all the full practice sessions live via satellite, with the Radio 5 Live commentary. I'll miss Holly Samos more!
