  1. No it wouldn't
  2. It was 14,535 in November, but 17.20 ko so I guess it was televised. We lost 1-0. It's all on the OS.
  3. Not if he has to re-boot it won't.
  4. The best time (for the club) for a player to move on is when he has at least 1, and preferably more, years left to run on his contract. If he signs for 3 and stays for 3, he goes for free.
  5. Ferguson is only a Knight, Nigel's a Saint
  6. I don't think Barnard would get on the bench at the moment if he was fit (the 5 player limitation). Guly, de Ridder & even Lallana can step in if there's an injury during the game. IIRC the talk of bids for Sharp etc. were before we signed de Ridder, and before subs were reduced from 7 to 5. If we sign a big name striker, we're looking at leaving either him or Connolly out of the match day squad. I suppose even if he stays fit, Connolly's realistically only got this season left, and we do need to look to the future. It would be a tough decision for a manager to drop Connolly now, but I suppose that's what they get paid for. Both Connolly & Jaidi are on one year extensions, and the plan must be to buy replacements this season and bed them into the team for the future when those two have hung up their boots. I would be surprised if that wasn't discussed when they signed the extensions. Now watch us sign Rodriguez today
  7. Good result for them last night, though. Probably did us a favour beating Cardiff. They've had a great start, but they're not top of the league.
  8. This place has enough opinions already. Don't go encouraging posters to have more of them.
  9. I sincerely hope we don't find out next month
  10. Or, for the pedants, fewer.
  11. We need to concede less, not score more
  12. We've already got 5 more points than I thought we'd have at this stage of the season. And I had us down for around 65 at the start, so game on.

    Be honest...

I was changing a nappy (not my own).
  14. We won tonight because of what is in the player's heads, not what's in their feet. As long as Nigel stays, we'll go up
  15. Is my memory playing tricks, or do I remember a 7-2 at Portman Road in the dim & distant past. Senility hurts!
  16. I think I got 2 very important things from tonights staggering performance: 1. The "team" learned that if they stick to Nigel's plan, we''ll be OK, and 2. Bringing Fox on for Connolly instead of Harding gave Lallana so much space, and Boy did he use it. I wouldn't like to play chess against our Nige. Wonderful night
  17. Morgan please Nige. Mix it up.
  18. FWIW I'm listening to the live SaintsPlayer feed on a Blackberry Playbook tonight. WiFi connection, not paired with the phone, so not using phone data. Mrs. Hutch got the playbook free with an upgrade, so handy to have around. It's not really much use for anything else.
  19. 25-man squad limit in the PL (unless they're under 21). Why would any of them go to another nPC club?
  20. There is some value in showing the rest of the squad what happens if you don't toe the line (assuming he didn't at some point).
  21. I find it hard to see Ipswich losing their first 3 home games on the trot. I think, like most games, whoever wants it most will win, but I think it will be them. I don't see a draw. I'm not usually a pessimist, but I don't have a good feeling about this one.
  22. I think the Blackberries do flash anyway, so you can get SaintsPlayer. The tablet certainly does.
  23. He might change his mind when QPR name their 25-man squad. Warnock might accidentally leave a copy of the "draft" where he can see it.
  24. Not (2) or (3). I don't know whether Punch has 1 or 2 years left on his contract here, but anyway letting him go permanently is a higher priority than getting an ex-QPR centre back. No point in linking the 2 unless both parts are best for us.
  25. If any QPR backroom staff are reading the forum to gather information on Jason Puncheon, let me sum up the feelings of the Saints Web members. He's absolutely brilliant. Wenger was in two minds whether to take him or Chamberlain.
