  1. I would say that in 2027 the Tories needed a strong Brexiteer to properly drive through Brexit. Much as I liked May, she tried to compromise and this led to further infighting.
  2. To be fair this thread is about the ‘Starmer years’, you should know as you started it. Maybe resurrect that other thread you started ‘Tory scum years’.
  3. I’m no expert on this subject or US politics in general but I was surprised to learn that ICE came into being back in 2003. Also, over 3 million were deported under Obamas presidency. What’s the difference now, why all the protests? Genuine question. Before anyone asks, I find the recent deaths of citizens shocking.
  4. I thought you were talking about the discovery of swimming goggles until I zoomed in.
  5. I’ve managed to do ok for myself without going to Uni, a middle management position in an Electronics company, I just wish I was allowed to vote.
  6. Unless I’ve missed it, there doesn’t appear to be any rumours of us getting any strikers in, just out.
  7. Not sure any commentators will be keen on those three 😉
  8. I look at my daughter and can see the massive benefit going to university had for her, not just academically.
  9. Which one do you find more useful?
  10. Do I, really? I express my opinion, I don’t think I sneer at anyone else’s opinions.
  11. Interesting, what’s it got to do with this thread?
  12. I do love the sneering arrogance of the middle class left. If only I’d gone to university I might have some of it too.
  13. Now that would be very healthy. 'A bit of crumpet' is a phrase that has gone out of fashion sadly. Anyone tried pizza crumpets?, pizza topping on a crumpet, not healthy but very tasty.
  14. And I thought you’d be having crumpets for breakfast
  15. I’m looking at this post and it states ‘Posted 9 minutes ago’, I can’t believe he hasn’t responded yet’
  16. Possibly the most technically impressive put-down ever seen on SaintsWeb.
  17. Some good news, homicides down to lowest level since 1977 and knife crime down 9%.
  18. There’s a good clip from Question Time on YouTube where Andrew Neil explains the reality of Gaza to her.
  19. No, I live in Christchurch, but I would certainly recommend it. It’s a small place so only 5 in a class which is ideal. Must be a few places around Southampton
  20. I did wonder why the instructor kept getting us to raise our right arms to 45 degrees
  21. Brilliant! It hadn’t occurred to me, if it had I would have just said Pilates. 😀
  22. Not sure a 15 year old would be given a ministerial position
  23. Which is what I’ve said before
  24. I think Trump words and actions over the past few weeks may have changed that to an extent.
  25. I assume you are including me in that group. I don’t really have a problem with him going so long as we are vigilant about what the Chinese do. When I was younger I was very much a left winger. I was right footed but could use my left foot and was good at crossing the ball, scored a couple of goals direct from a corner. Right footed, playing on the left wing, ahead of my time. Typing this whilst sat in a Chinese car 😃
