If true, good. He’s been fucking pony lately and needs a kick up the fucking arse.

Some people constantly banging on about playing 2 centre halves and abandoning the back 3, miss this entirely. The reason Bree plays is because the system relies on the 2 wide “centre halves” being converted full backs, Venables did it with Stewart Pearce & Gary Neville at times, if I remember correctly Koeman played Bertrand there as well. It’s why Bree plays and why THB looks like a fish out of water on occasions. Personally, I’d play THB or Janny B the central role, with Bree and Charlie Taylor as the wide ‘centre halves”, and I’d imagine any defensive placement Ivan brings in for next season will be capable of playing like this (if we persist with the system). Personally, I like it, I like the way it causes overloads out wide when the centre half underlaps . Chris Wilder was incredibly successful doing it in Sheffield Uniteds first season in the premier league. However, it does have downsides, the second season they got found out and better teams exploited it. You also need a really good central player who reads the game and is great defending 1 on 1 , as it can leave wide open spaces as we’ve seen the past 2 games.

Is have said that’s a bit optimistic TBH.

Made up for the fella today. It’s one thing notching one in a defeat, but to get the winner quite another. Fair play to the bloke, at times he must of been on a right downer, and wonder what the fuck he’s doing here. He is pretty pony, but he’s battled away and appears to be a decent pro with a good attitude.

Got some luck today, but fully deserved it for the positive decisions he made. Playing the 2 newbies from the start, ending up with a back 3 of Bree, Aribo & Janny B, bringing on Lallana, telling TD to sit back down (as opposed to AL) when Wellington cramped up, keeping Tall Paul on, bringing Smallbone on, all decisions that could of been questioned if we’d lost. Make no mistake, the winning goal showed the difference from the previous regime exactly. He’s got Sully running at people, not turning back and passing square. Yes, the keeper did a Baz impression, but fuck me, Sully ran at them, had a shot, and we had a centre forward in the fucking mixer to capitalise on it.

I thought you weren’t going to mention him again after the Newcastle game…
-
I agree, he’s began a fucking waste of space, shat himself when taking a penalty and minced around hardly touching the ball the rest of the time. The fact the manager prefers that useless dwarf Adam Armstrong says it all.
-
I disagree, I reckon Baz is prime click bait material. Supporters of every championship side will clicking on link, in the hope it’s not them potentially signing him.
-
Fuck me, you haven’t got a clue. I can’t believe he didn’t win a game 2 days before he had a work permit 😂😂
-
It’s a bit like the funniest German, the fittest bird from pompey or interesting Belgian, its relative. For Baz, it was Banks-esque

One good thing about him staying (or the owner saying he’s staying) is players won’t be able to see him out. If they want to play they’ll need to conform and do what they’re fucking told. I always think it’s harder to get your ideas across & harder to drive the players with criticism & hard work if they think “he’ll be gone in the summer”. He’s got the authority to deliver some home truths and knock the softness out of some of them. He’s also got the chance to see who has the character to bounce back and who is a son-in-law.
-
“We obviously have a very ambitious manager who is trying to change how we play. Unfortunately the squad has been assembled for a different style. He’s trying to do the best he can.”
-
Looks like he’s staying. Dragan Solak on talksport “Ivan Juric signed a contract for a year and a half and he is our manager for next season."
-
So which games since he left would Lego have got results from then? Bearing in mind a really out of form spurs side put 5 past us in the first half in his last game, it’s bizarre to think results would have been any different. The atmosphere would be incredibly toxic by now had the cock remained.
-
Agreed. I keep reading posts praising Adam Armstrong as a someone who will get goals in the Championship, therefore he should be easy to ship out to a Championship side. I’m sick to death of watching him run around, I’d quite happily fuck him off and get someone in who offers more physicality and potential. Same with most of them. I honestly can’t think of one player who will stay, that I’ll particularly want to stay.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

No it’s not, and it’s not 10 points behind Ipswich’s either. The 1 point we got from 2 home games against them were criminal and it’s been downhill ever since. Had we beaten Ipswich, drawn with Leicester & 10 man Newcastle we’d probably have picked up a point or 2 elsewhere as confidence wouldn’t have been as low. All ifs and buts and we’d probably still be in the bottom 2, but we wouldn’t be talking about getting 12 points or not.

Rumours, he got the first of many beatings already. Southport child killer Axel Rudakubana has allegedly been ATTACKED & left unconscious by two brothers, “two lunatics” who were doing 35 years in prison for murder. According to this voice note prison guards let them in to his cell & they brutally attacked him: -
Let’s hope so. Personally, I don’t want the “he’s good in the championship” mentality to prevail. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that we could get a striker that’ll score as many as Adam Armstrong in the lower league, but be capable of stepping up a level and not looking completely useless? Same with the centre halves, Downes and Smallbone. These players are tainted and used to losing, the whole club needs toughening up and a culture change. Apart from one or two exceptions, who will leave anyway, I don’t want to see more than a handful of these wankers playing next season.
-
Thought he did ok yesterday, certainly wasn’t one of the worse on show. Got roughed up a bit by their centre halves, but he’s going to get that in England. I’d like to see us get it into his feet or chest in or around the box, because he only seems to get it fed into him on the halfway line. For this to happen he needs to show more in those areas, because his movement in the final third is poor. Apart from a couple of midgets he’s all we’ve got to play up top, so will probably get a decent run now. Will be interesting to see how he gets on at Ipswich, because we should have more control of the ball.

From where I was Sat it was a penalty, I was actually amazed the ref pointed for a corner, and even more amazed it took so long to overturn his error. As for 3 centre halves it looks to me like he’s trying to get Bree over lapping and creating an over load ( a bit like Sheffield Utd did during Wilders successful season). If you’re going to get centre halves to play this role, Bree is the only option on the right side of the 3. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but explains why Bree is starting over Wood.

Even then they’d be over paying
