  1. Fucking hell, dumbing down or what. I had the misfortune to watch “Celebrity” Mastermind. I didn’t have a friggin clue who these “celebrities “ were, but that’s beside the point. The specialist subjects and questions were just pathetic. Destiny’s child, Nottingham Forest from 1978-92 and Ziggy Stardust, the only one who had anything approaching culture was some cooking bird who choose Claude Monet (though she seemed to know fuck all about him). I even got 9 out of 10 in the Forest section, but with questions like “who was the ex goalkeeper who was Brian Clough’s assistant when they won the league and European cups”, anybody over the age of about 10 would have done similar. As for general knowledge, fuck me, only a dope like David Lammy wouldn’t have scored 10 or 11 points. I had to double check it wasn’t a kids programme. The only highlight was the cooking bird nearly doing a Sharon Stone during her stint in the chair. Other than that it was the kind of trash the BBC defenders claim is on foreign TV. Cheap, trashy, shite TV. I’ve heard harder questions on the Chase.
  2. Arsenal 3-1 up, cabbage patch doll has just told us, “the emphasis is now on Brentford to try and get back in the game”. Fuck me, where would we be without these words of wisdom. She truly can see things we can’t
  3. Fucking woeful team on Arsenal Brentford. Keown, some dopey bird & The cabbage patch doll. The lowlight, “all he did wrong was not clear it”, when Mbeumo gave the ball away instead of clearing it. Where do they get these clowns from.
  4. Within 10 years it’ll be gone. A relic of the past.
  5. Surely he’d want to improve the side.
  6. I guess some people are stuck in the last century , longing for Auntie to enhance social cohesion. Longing for an England long gone….
  7. Fucking hell, fancy relying on a poll tax to fund a media company for “social cohesion” and “cultural touchpoints”, 😂. Like we didn’t have culture or social cohesion prior to 1946….
  8. If I was PM, rather than give him a knighthood, I’d have taken his OBE off him for fucking up the best generation of talent produced for years. Tommy T will show the clown up next WC.
  9. I was talking to a member of the coaching staff at Bournemouth last night. He reckons Dibling would be mad to leave us, but also reckons other clubs would be mad to buy him ATM. Said he could go either way, and as well as he’s done, he thinks there’s a fair chance he could fall away and not fulfil his potential. Obviously just one blokes opinion, but I thought it interesting he didn’t rate him as highly as I thought he would.
  10. We could ship a few out…
  11. It would depend on what’s happening manager wise. If Ivan was nailed on to stay then getting people in would make sense. However, if it’s up in the air, they could get someone in a new manager might not fancy. That’s why I’d go for loans, with an option to buy if possible.
  12. I have watched TV & streaming services in other countries, it’s no better or no worse than the BBC. You’re so stuck in the last century. If it didn’t exist, and the Government wanted to set up a media company, paid for by everyone who owned a TV, people would think it ridiculous. It’s 2025 not 1955.
  13. Laughable isn’t it. Schools, roads, health care and a media company 😂. If it’s as good as people claim, they’ll have no bother collecting subscriptions. The reason they don’t support subscription is because they know full well a lot of people won’t pay for the shite they churn out.
  14. And we’d be 9 points below fucking Ipswich
  15. So subscribing to it rather than being forced pay via a poll tax won’t be an issue then. It’s funny how the people who think it’s so great , are the ones who don’t want it subjected to the market. If it’s good as they claim, people will subscribe to watch it. Why should people who don’t want to watch it, pay to not watch it.
  16. What sort of clown starts a thread about this.
  17. Ipswich showing Lego head exactly how you set up and play as a promoted side. Arrogant Cock….
  18. He won’t be playing for a top 6 side next season.
  19. Seems to have got worse seen the departure of Lego. Looked like he could offer us something earlier in the season, but not on his last couple of sub performances
  20. Yep, we were very poor in highlighting to the referee what was going on. I was at a Wessex league game Saturday, during a break in play one of the keepers came up to the Lino who was near where I was stood and was telling him how one of the opposition was holding him during corners and impending him, “help the referee “ he was saying “watch out for it”. We seemed to let Palace put a bloke on our keeper and didn’t make a fuss. Ridiculous in this day and age. The other thing that pissed me off was Ramsdale’s reaction. He fell against the post , he should have made a meal of it. Held his head, milked it. It’s what Martinez would have done. You can’t tell me the VAR wouldn’t have been influenced by the medical team running on, the Saints players going nuts and the thought that they maybe allowing a goal in which the keeper got shoved against the post and injured. Obviously not sporting, but we’re not Corinthian-Casuals. Other teams would have done it. Soft as shite, again.
  21. I know people want us to keep our powder dry and save the money for the summer, but we can’t go on like this. We can’t go down with a handful of points and then think we’ll hit the ground running next season. I don’t know the rules around numbers, but I’d look at a couple of loans to plug some glaring gaps, centre midfield in particular and maybe somebody who knows where the goal is. Surely there’s youngsters or senior pros who would be up for a loan for game time. In terms of permanent transfers, we clearly need players that will play in championship. It will be different than the last time because we were an established premier league club, with a chance of avoiding relegation. We signed guys who wouldn’t play in the lower level. Only a deluded half wit would sign thinking we’re staying up this year, so if a top level championship player is available at a reasonable fee, let’s get him in early. He’ll see the required level, and we will see if he cuts the mustard when/if we get promoted again.
  22. But VAR doesn’t work like that. The VAR can think it’s a foul, but not advise a review because it was only a small error. It’s a joke. That’s the issue with VAR in my eyes. Had the Lino thought it a foul, he wouldn’t have had to weigh up whether it crossed some Howard Webb drawn threshold, he’d have flagged and the ref would have given it. Why on earth VAR can’t say, “you might want to look at this again, it maybe a foul” is beyond me.
  23. Ramsdale should have been stronger, and him and the defenders should have made a big fuss, pushing the bloke etc, before the corner was taken. We’ve seen it 100 times, the ref has a word with the players, the corner swung in and he blows the whistle. We’re naive beyond belief, even letting the bloke do the same thing a few minutes later. Personally, I’d rather it wasn’t a foul, as keepers are over protected. But there needs to be consistency. That’s given as a foul 9 times out of 10. If they’re going to allow goals like that, that’s fine by me, but we all know the next one will be disallowed.
  24. This is as ridiculous as the OP.
