Or 'Harry Potter and the Champange Socialists' or 'Harry Potter and the Islington set'.

In terms of ability I'm inclined to agree with you that few if any others come close to them if measured over any length of time at Saints. Dean Richards at his prime with us approached their standards.Ruddock might have, had he stayed at Saints and concentrated on his football rather than live up to his own idea of his image. My all time favourite CB's though would be John McGrath and Jim Steele but in truth Mark Wright and Michael Svennson are a cut above. Shame Wright was an arsehole off the pitch though.

I like Newcastle and KK.Although I feel a bit sorry for them having Ashley and a **** like Wise involved,it amazes me that their supporters are blind to the fact KK has been **** poor since returning.

Sad to say, we'll lose 4-0.

A few years ago driving into Bristol in the morning I used to see some bloke walking along holding a book in front of his nose everytime... With all due respect to The Stain, this looked a knobhead thing to do,and the chap concerned must have been an utter spastic.

Probably absolute crap bands though.....

Surprised no one has mentioned either 'Arthur Two-stroke and the Chart Commandos', or 'The Rhythm Methodists'.

Yes,I'm sure we'd all get up pretty early in the morning if GMTV were to show that;I'd buy it on video.....

I am of the orange coloured 'Wembley Trophy' footballs generation.

Even Svengland managed draws against that team.

In my view Rupert is still a bit of a tit (ie a mammary naan)

I have a vitriolic hatred of Red****t for his part in our downfall ( with apologies to the late Spike Milligan for that). I should hate the c^nt who gave Saggy the job in the first place even more. Whilst both are worthy of blame,I agree that Rupert has however at least tried, often in his own misguided way perhaps, to benefit the club;Saggy as we know was never commited to the cause. So Saggy is disliked more in my book. (And no Saggy, don't expect a minutes silence to be observed at SMS when you croak it.)

"lallana,lallana.. in pyjamas coming down the stairs " ? Good idea. But we'd better be a bit cautious in plagiarising this idea as the originator has previously taken someone to court in Australia ! Alternative and simple song just adapt Hey Jude: boring and repetitive but likely to catch on.

Inclined to agree with the first part of your post. However I'd rather the £100,000 in the bank rather than a notional discount on a bit part player of his age. Sorry to say,Pulis is not a name I want associated with Saints.(rather like Redkrapp ever again).

Agree with you.JP certainly seems good in the management of his squad. It was this style of "management" that many complimented Mourinho on as NickG points out,and also calling back McGoldrick shows a great discipline in emphasising to the player who is actually in charge.Had this been seen of Clough then it would be deemed a masterstroke in man management. It could be argued that it is easier to 'manage' the younger players as the seniors earning their mega-salaries develop an arrogance that prevents anyone telling them anything (as Merrington found out), but for working with our current squad JP appears to be ideal.

alright ?

...and she could have a Badger on the other one given half a chance.

I'm convinced the dog display was on 11th November 1978 v Norwich. Have just looked the date of the fixture up in ITN but no mention of the halftime spectacular.
