If you were Dragan you'd be on the phone to someone like Dan Ashworth , and making sure Mr Football stays in Turkey and out of the way. If Ashworth is demanding too much, as he might be after his last couple of posts, then there must be someone with an ounce of football experience and knowledge who would improve things. Paul Tisdale for example who is widely recognised as being switched on (now at Celtic though).
-
Misread your last sentence as 'Too many cocks at the moment, and none with the football knowledge needed', which is equally appropriate.
-
All fair points, but retaining RM for as long as we did was just suicidal. Agree though, change at the top is required.
-
Crook may be a cretin, but no arguing with him there is there?. Credit to him for stating the obvious perhaps, but at least he has said it publicly. Over to Big Adam in Solent studio.
-
I think you're giving our modern match day fanbase too much credit here to be honest. Many of the 'nods' and mongs would only attend a car park protest (if you're thinking back to the Branfoot days) to take an 'I was there' selfie, and as a backdrop to their 'vlogs' or whatever they call them.

It could have been the catalyst for a reset, had we appointed a manager who could have grown into the role. Instead of which we continued with a bloke who by EPL standards would be better off employed as a fucking hairdresser.
-
That’s incredibly damning of the set up. When it’s listed out like that it’s even worse than you think.
-
Perhaps the words competent or effective should have been added, but I think most would agree with the sentiment of the post.
-
No idea what that is. But we could just adapt a current song to “ lowest points total, you’ll never sing that “
-
We won’t be competitive with the current management set up, but no reason with the recruitment team right we can’t compete in the EPL. Other clubs show it can be done.

In which 20 minute cameo was that, Huddersfield (a), or WBA (a) ? Rephrase as : he held the ball up in a game for us once.
-
Guarantees him a decent pay off, from his perspective, for six months at the club. Perhaps he wasn’t interested in a short term deal, without the additional carrot on offer. All speculation of course.
-
Brentford are shining example of where a club can be if carefully fed and watered by Rasmus’ almighty hand. (Brentford- nothing to do with anyone else it was all Rasmus who did it).
-
Lots of speculation over next season already. Surprised no one has mentioned that we can look forward to seeing Bazunu (last seasons best Gk in the division according to Lego) coming back in between the sticks. Yes, definitely the greatest days in the club’s history are just around the corner with Sports Republic. I’m just thankful I’m alive to live through it.
-
How can he not see this ? If he had a Mr Internet, or a Mr Telecommunications , in his main business on a par with ‘Mr Football’ within SR, then I suspect the fucker would have been out the door long ago without his or her feet touching the ground.
-
2008 or 9 might be a good starting point.
-
Spot on with each point.

Remainder of the season should be a carnival among supporters, just to get rid of Rasmus and the dickheads. So far most have felt that Dragan Solak has been misled by some the ‘experts’ around him. Long overdue realising the how inept they are and getting rid. Pitchforks at the ready ..
-
Yes, we’re still reaping the legacy of Russell Martin. But as long as the chief dickhead, Rasmus remains at the club, it’ll be the gift that keeps giving. Only Plymouth have conceded more goals. Perhaps Rooney will be available for Rasmus to appoint in the summer.
-
Without meaning to decry Juric, both Poch and Ralph were a cut above (in my view) and had a better squad to work with from day one. As for the habits - conceding goals and losing.
-
That was my recollection as well. In fact, I’m pretty sure it was a Vestergaard fuck up that led to Cardiff scoring against us in Ralph’s first away match (lost 1-0 I think).
-
Oh for the good old days, 70’s, 80’s perhaps, when you’d get fixtures in quick succession over Christmas and new year. Plus of course three games in four days over Easter. Wonder what Klopp, Wenger and all would have made of that. Proper football, proper fans, in freezing conditions (Saints at Arsenal, Boxing Day 1970); no dyed haircuts, and especially no mincing about gloves for outfield players or leggings ! (Think Keith Weller at Leicester may have started the leggings trend early 70’s though)

It was a video clip shown on here a week or so ago. I think it was taken from an interview Bowen gave. Not sure which thread it appeared on, possibly Sports Republic.
-
Just to make it clear, I know Sulemana arrived before Mowbray’s appointment so I’m not laying that fuck up at his door.
-
Some good points you raise there, over the requirements of the scouting network, and DoF (or whatever title is given .. DoF Operations for an alternative option). Probably worth a thread in their own. In all this I’d like to know the extent of input from Darren Mowbray. He was credited with unearthing some decent players for Aberdeen, but (Fernandes aside perhaps, and who spotted him I wonder), the question now is has he lost his touch, poorer scouts on the ground, or are the selection committee ( including RM we believe) ignoring him ? Seems an incredible change from the days when Ted Bates would reportedly make trips to Scotland to watch say, Jim Steele, and decide if he was up to it. Or Lawrie telling the board who he wanted. Contrast this with the alarming stories from Bowen (Hughes assistant) of signing Elyonoussi, and that they didn’t want Vestergaard. Then the story that Ralph didn’t rate or want to sign AA. But the Reeds, Semmens and the like always know best. We know where that has led us.
