Can’t wait for the souvenir t-shirts to go on sale. Picture of Lego Head and Rasmus on the front. And dates and results of defeats on the back.

Yes, said the other day I can see our clowns closing the academy. Even Rupert Lowe saw the benefit of bringing our own players through the ranks.
-
Agree, especially about Juric and what he’s got to select from. This is it for me as well. Appointments have been dreadful. Many blame Rasmus, possibly Kraft who seems to have been the one to take the blame and be moved on. Can only hope Dragan’s revamp puts the right people in place.

Saw something the other day in local press that a few clubs are looking at some 18 year old with Chippenham Town, previously released by Saints. Of course it happens to all clubs not just us. But it’s a shame that we don’t seem to be making more successes from our Academy.

It’s been said several times in here this season and before but I wish our lot would get at the ref more often to challenge their decisions. Case in point today was their second goal where it appeared that Tall Paul was fouled in the build up. Crowd called for it, I think he and a couple of players appealed. But once they scored it was meekly accepted. Compare this with Newcastle appealing both the penalty and our ‘goal’. Obviously it has to be done within the rules, but you are left to wonder if any of them really give a shit.

During a rugby match the other week the ref was wired up and his conversations with those monitoring the match was relayed to the crowd. Might be interesting to eaves drop, but we all know the crowd reaction

No Political Protests At St Marys Stadium.. thank you
Badger replied to SaintsLoyal's topic in The Saints
Did some of them quickly get changed, and then join in the right wing ‘ Anti- immigrant ’ , or left wing ‘ Refugee lovefest’ counter demo shortly after. Seems a good day for protests in Southampton today. Shame none about the shambolic running of the football club. -
I know the point you’re making but think it is unfair on Juric and the fanbase. Jones was a bizarre appointment but no one was impressed by the selection, many of his shortcomings were known to supporters. His interviews were a ‘car crash’ reinforcing views of him. He then had six weeks to prepare his squad for the battle ahead. Little is really known if Juric, style and record. Many might not have heard of him before he arrived. For interviews it’s understood that English is a foreign language to him ( I don’t think NJ was a native Welsh speaker) so he gets a pass for this. Above all most realise he’s got a piss poor squad to select from, disillusioned after Martin. Juric deserves credit for being prepared to take the fucking job at the circus we’ve become.

To be replaced by ? The season has been written off. As we’ve seen no one really wants the job currently, and it appears we aren’t prepared to pay compensation for a manager we want.
-
Wouldn't it be preferable if Red Bull just bought our club ?
-
I'm still working In 'old money' , what's the difference ? For me it implies an attacking midfield player, but not sure of the distinction, if at all.
-
I’d like to think that is crap, but with SR there’s no telling. Weren’t there similar stories about the terms on which we signed Livramento and how Chelsea benefited more from his sale to Newcastle than we did ?
-
Very poor on our part, if true, in my view. Have to question if a manager on a contract could simply resign and walk away from his club. Would have expected notice periods etc to protect the club, otherwise managers would do this every time a better option comes up.
-
Or even worse a Tommy Forecast level player in return as a sweetener and part payment.
-
Writing on the wall perhaps ?
-
Leads to the obvious question, why sign him ?
-
And is anyone held to account ?
-
Say it quick enough, and it sounds plausible enough. When you look at this fixture, part of me thinks, “do we have to” ? If we fail to turn up I think it’s only a 3-0 defeat imposed by default.
-
You really have to wonder what future,if any, for the Academy. Sports Republic will probably view it as an unnecessary cost. Completely wrong in my view, it should be seen as vital to a club like us. Even Rupert Lowe was supportive of bringing home grown players through.
-
Is that ‘R’ for Russell ? How appropriate.
-
You might have covered that in your earlier comment. He’s not exactly spoilt for choice is he ? Unless you’d rather he select Smallbone there.
-
Or Sheff Utd could try and offload another of their prolific goal scorers to us, the legend that is Rhian Brewster. * They've seen us sign BBD and Archer, so might be gullible enough to accept the backstory of Brewsters great still to be fulfilled potential. *See he’s scored tonight. Great potential there Rasmus.

At that sort of level we’d consider going (three of us), but object to them taking the piss at current prices given the rubbish served up on the pitch. To charge £20 on top of the season ticket for our crap this season is an insult.
-
Wouldn’t you rather he was sold, or will you be cheering his return ?

Have you checked the Rennes Forums then ?
