  1. Cooper wouldn’t be my first choice but what absolute bollocks ! Completely ignoring his achievement there. Forest were bottom of the Championship when he took over in September 2021. And you think they were promoted at the end of that season despite him, rather than because of him. That’s quite a fluke isn’t it ? Or perhaps he was just lucky. But I wouldn’t mind some of that sort of luck coming our way.
  2. Thinking it through, it does seem a bit of a sideways or even step back for her, going from what I read as part of the senior recruitment at Norwich to focus on the 16-19 year age bracket with us.
  3. The name Marion didn't hold John Wayne's career back. Welcome aboard Mariela... can't do any worse than we've done in the past couple of years. And if you listen to one of the interviews Stuart Webber , former Norwich DoF , credits her with finding Buendia for them.
  4. And the former Chelsea doctor...
  5. Didn't he used to play the organ on Stars on Sunday ?
  6. His heads already at St Mary's.
  7. Looking at this: Didn’t we have something like that in the 2000’s ? (no I’m not confusing it witn the 1976 candy bar stripes).
  8. Yet he never played him. Got to say I feel a little sorry for Mowbray who seems to have taken the blame for the clusterfuck. Wonder who specifically wanted BBD and Archer.
  9. Definitely 1960's. A hybrid of one of the Krays, and one of the Great Train Robbers... a portmanteau of the 1960's London underworld if ever there was!
  10. Important bit in the article: At Sport Republic, Nisotaki will be working across the group of clubs – Southampton, Valenciennes in France and Göztepe in Turkey. Her title will be Head of Talent Acquisition, focusing on the 16 to 19 age group.
  11. But has she always been one ? That is the burning question, or is she choosing to identify as one in the ‘ man’s game’ ?
  12. If Lense comes here perhaps with all the German connections we can try to get Timo Werner on loan. With him and Harwood-Bellis (if he stays) in the team we'll have at least two known 'son-in'-laws' for people to moan about.
  13. Interesting comment re his backroom team, if he were to end up coming here (and personally i don't think he will) then I'd hope he brings those he wants with him. I don't know the set up at Sheff Weds, and anything more about Pedersen than you've told us. Burt whilst he probably has developed a bond with the club and area, I suspect guarantees of being paid, and on time, might also feature in his priorities and whether he accepts Chansiri (?) promises to that end. On the topics of assistants not wanting to move incidentally, we heard that Pochetino's staff didn't want to move on, or Koeman's. Difference may be that none of them were in the running for the top job at the time. Perhaps we should have tried keeping Erwin.
  14. Many Saints fans, me included, thought he was the obvious candidate after Chris Nicholl was sacked. But no, Branfoot was preferred. None of which changes the fact when he did come to us he was a knob

    Lallana role.

Lallana obviously a popular choice !

    Lallana role.

Just as Rofe was in charge of the cones, I expect Lallana will be in charge of handing out the Alice bands.
  17. If he was the choice, why not bring him in now ? I expect he’d leave Sheff Weds given all that’s gone on in recent weeks, and they’re out of contention for the play offs. We’re already down so it wouldn’t be on his record as having taken us down (if such things matter), and he could have a few weeks assessing the squad. Unless of course we’re looking to avoid the compensation dispute we had with Swansea.

    Sport Republic

Saw some bloke that looked like Rasmus W in the queue at Seven Sisters tube station after the game yesterday. Couldn’t have been could it ? Thought he’d have been chauffeur driven.

    Sport Republic

You’d have hoped that with Kraft going, Rasmus would have had his wings clipped at the same time. Would be surprised if Dragan only half did the job in sorting tweedledum out but leaving tweedledee to carry on his buffoonery.
  20. Rohl seems to be the preferred candidate among the support, and I’d be pleased with him coming here for a return to some Ralphball. But Saints don’t go for the ‘obvious’ so will probably fuck it up, conducting their search etc. I can’t believe they haven’t got a main target, they’ve had weeks to consider this.
  21. I think I know the match when they’ll next score a goal at home.
  22. Who would you want for next season, if RVN is on his way ?
  23. Not a match but in other football news that will resonate with Saints fans from our L1 days, it's announced that the original 'Wotsit' is retiring. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/c8x84j7jv2xo
  24. In the age of diversity and inclusion. we should try signing the Big Breasted Red Indian from Billy the Fish as well.
