  1. nope, however when you offer it to a government, rather than an individual, it is a "fine"
  2. why does this not show long term commitment. Maybe they don't what to jeopardise the future by take 9m euro punts. Loan with option to buy is them best of both worlds. Odd that you can't see that.
  3. Well I ended up with a Giant Defy 2014 105, before good sense and self preservation kicked in. I can see this hobby becoming ridiculous in terms of pathetic justifications why last years chain set just wont do and that the new unobtainium version is absolutely essential.
  4. Well, that didn't go so well. Went the Bike shop and spent almost twice the budget. He didn't even have to up sell me - I did a decent enough job of that on my own!!! Need to come up with a plausible excuse for the missus other than "Sorry I just got shiny kit syndrome"
  5. Dont start flapping - it October 13
  6. If you are talking about TSW board, then no, we lost all credibility months ago. If you are talking about the Saints board, then almost, they will have lost all credibility on the 1st of September if they don't pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat.
  7. Good to see the squawkers out in force because we didn't sign anyone today.
  8. The way to make the FFP fair is to identify the club with the highest make bill, set the ceiling at that and say it can only increase by rpi each year.
  9. Boruc, because I know him and he is a total mentalist.
  10. My prediction is that ITV goes out of business before the Saints when advertisers finally cotton on to the fact that we fast forward their adverts. so fuk you itv
  11. as with dejan, "Tweet one more thing and I will schtick that phone up your arsch"
  12. if there was ever a more appropriate intro to a link, I'm yet to see it.
  13. Dear Santa, I am happy to give up all my pressies this year if you can A) Make sure Liverpool doesn't qualify for the CL next year B) Levy fires poch by March Yours CB Saint
  14. however Me and my buddies at Liverpool and Man U got together and rinsed them just to put them back in their place. No more room at the top table.
  15. If you scrap transfer fees, guess who would be trousering the £25m we got for Lallana. The only way we will ever get around this is to scrap relegation from the EPL and give all teams a playing staff wage cap - Say £70m. the you can divvy it up any which way you like. Have a couple of galacticos, and you will have to scrimp somewhere else.
  16. Good, that is a "stop fecking about or I'll fine you" type message - tbf, it's exactly what these gits need
  17. Fully expect the three Ls to spamming the hell out of his twitters account about how good it is to train with world class players; how much of a difference he could make to the life of a poor scouse kid; and that they have finally managed to locate his heart when it was captured by the incredible fans at anfield
  18. Easiest way is to back end any bonuses. all performance bonuses, sign ons etc are accrued and paid out on completion of the contract. If we sell you, then we will pay up what's accrued. If you hand in a transfer request, then you lose it all. If you act like a little git and agitate for a move then it will be regarded as a transfer request.
  19. Wah, the club didn't talk to me, wah, even though I'm on England duty and still have 4 years left on my contract wah. Wah, they sent me a contract extension in writing, wah. Why couldn't tell call me to tell me they were going to send me a contract extension in writing, wah. Wah, my 15yr old son is feeling unsettled because all these academy products are being sold to CL clubs, wah. Feck off the lot of you, you whinging entitled 4rseholes.
  20. Given that it reads as a canonisation of AL, I would suggest that he is the source of a big piece of this.
  21. I would be genuinely gutted if we lost cork.
  22. Rather a loan than a panic buy. At least this takes the pressure off and buys us two more transfer windows to either get Targett to the right level or to invest in a permanent solution. Look how much flak the board got for ossie and rameriez. If they were loan deals, people would have been screaming "no ambition" however it would have turned out to be a great decision.
  23. Bertrand is going to be this years Paul telfer. He will do a solid job, but because half our fans are morons, they will get on his back from the off. Some people need to realise that just cos we got £80m in the bank doesn't mean we can spend £25m on a player. The player has to want to come as well, and at that price point chances are they want European football.
  24. Why don't you p1ss off back to the Kruger thread, you miserable sod.
  25. He is a capable player in that position. We can gradually introduce target and if target excels then we have a great second option
