I think the club is in a much better place. More accountability and corporate governance at board level, a strong squad management team, good squad depth. Yes we have lost that "team spirit", but that was gone whatever happened. Refused the transfers, p1ssed off squad, refuse some = Morgan x 3 or 4. So on that basis we are probably in a better place. where it went awry, was the club shifted players out without the replacements coming through fast enough to appease us, the fans. Now we are in a good place to move forward, even more so if there is one or two cheeky last minute deals. They may have just got away with this although if it was through courageous decision making or blind luck, I couldn't say.

Be kind to Morgan - he has just discovered that he will be a relative pauper for the next three years when compared to all his mates - he is just being frugal.

I would tell him you can go if someone coughs north of twenty million. Cash. No tommy forecast swaps. Cash. Not dreamland add ons. Cold hard cash. i would then tell his agent, spurs, arsenal and the press. Any bid we then received, I would make public - this transfer I would do in the open. if someone doesn't come in for you at that price then they obviously have a lower sense of your worth than you do sunshine.

A couple of thoughts. nothing that ralph did or didn't say would have prevented this situation. Morgan wants out, end of. He would still be sulking if nothing had been said publically and he wasn't allowed to leave. secondly, Rk had to say "no more". An unhealthy momentum was building and needed reversing. He achieved that. If we subsequently sell Morgan, then we will have stabilised the ship , brought in new faces and the impact of his leaving will have been lessened. Morgan is still a ****.
