Have you seen how much flak Fry has got just dealing with the administration. Can't imagine he wants to do put up with it on a daily basis until some one pops up and buys the club. Bet he can't wait for it to be over. Up till now I always thought the most thankless job in football was refereeing.

Well it seems to me that they are still genuinely trying to get the deal done. I for one have appreciated the updates - better that the mushroom culture that has been pursued by previous boards. I hope they do it - from personal experience I know how frustrating it can be to purchase a business and that gremlins do creep out of the woodwork at the 11th hour irrespective of how much due dilligence is carried out.

I wonder how much grief Fry would have got if he had, as many people want, sacked off Pinnacle a couple of weeks ago only for no other bidder to come forward. I wonder how many people would be saying he should have given them longer?

I will probably accused of heresy but... MLT was a great player, one of the best and my boyhood hero but why does everyone think that he will do a great job at running a football club. Sure he has been an ambassador and is undoubtedly passionate about saints but it strikes me there is a world of difference between loving a club and running one. As a figurehead - great. Anything else - not sure. Let the burning commence.

5 million or 500 million, if he's in property it's a moving feast anyway. If he is mad enough to put his hand in his own pocket and invest in our football club, then I am happy to support him.
