Brothers of good premiership players....haven't we just got rid of one of those. Well if the sun is to be believed and he is half as good as shrek senior then he should be alright for us

B*gger

Charlton need to B*gger off back into their own half. They are spending too much time near our goal for my liking.
-
I reckon we may get more than that. Their keeper looks decidedly dodgy.

What a goal

Three line letter...sounds about standard fare for any shareholder of any company that has gone pop. I think the main issue lies in that there are questions that some people feel remain unanswered with regards to the administration (predominately around the Pinnacle bid) and were hoping that the letter may have been an opportunity for an explaination from Fry. However he has provided a standard letter which is used in these situation for any wind up as is his right. In this I don't consider that he has acted unprofessionally.

With regards to Mark Fry getting an award - the contraversial view would be that SFC still exists and was rescued when we were up to our necks in it and therefore he did a good job (despite the length of time it took). I reckon that there will be a number of other footie clubs feraturing in the insolvency awards over the next few years.

I am pretty sure that as a shareholder you whistle for it. The creditors get updated as and when something significant happens - usually the administrator announcing that he has now spent enough time on the job to soak up any remaining funds.

In that case, my apologies for inferring that you are a dog, and a wild one at that. I will leave my reflections on human nature for another arena.

It was not meant to insult anyone - just a statement of fact. The original poster asked why there was always a whipping boy in every side. The point I was making is that singling out scapegoats is human nature (like it or not) and it doesn't matter in what arena you are in, there will always be one. With regards to Wotton, I am undecided. AP obviously rates him and Saints have played good football with him in the side. Time will tell.

it's pack mentality. The pack will always turn on the weakness, be it in the playground or on the pitch. Survival of the fittest and all that...

Where did all this blind optimism come from? Where can I get some from? I work in recruitment and could do with a couple of pints worth.

I am very very happy

Happy days

Dons are a good side so... Optimistic version On the back of recent success, everything clicks and we destroy the Dons 3 - 0 wondering how we didn't score 8 or 9. Realistic version 1 - 0 to Saints. We score early and then cling on in the second half by the skin of our teeth. I will take either.

Anyone who actively looks for trouble is a moron of the highest order irrespective of the colours they wear. Anyone who condones this behaviour is equally as bad - there is no justification for giving someone a slap or a kicking. I cannot believe that some people on this forum think its ok.

If success was measured by the number of forum pages generated then RL must be the greatest chairman of all time.

What's your favourite biscuit?

Probably MLT's publishers calling in a favour to ensure that interest in his book is maintained - or is that too cynical
-
All of a sudden AP's claim of a playoff spot at the start of the season doesn't seem so ridiculous.
-
Has to be Antii over Schmeichel based upon number of goals prevented. Sure scheichel didn't let many in but he did have a sh1t hot defence in front of him, so in some games he didn't get his hands dirty. Antii, however, was peppered on a regular basis.

...or slag off MLT and Lawrie MAC

In answer to the moaning minnies on here - some positives We unbeaten in the league for the last five games Only 5 teams have conceded less goals than us. Unbeaten at home in league How anyone complain about this is beyond me. Sure we need to sort out the attacking element of our game but good teams are built upon good foundations (ie defense). AP seems to have grasped this and is doing a good job so far.
