Sounds like the lad's head is a little mixed up at the moment. Uncertainty will inevitably affect performance. If he's going back then AP needs to decide if he can trust Trottman to operate at 100% - if not bench him.

Good question and one that can't be answered until he hangs up his saddle or whatever trainers hang up. If he stopped tomorrow I would say that football however if he continues to be successful at racing then the balance may tip in the racing favour.
