Yep - although they would have to pay the administrator and not Watford

This bit I have a problem with - if look at today's global economy all mainstream manufacturing has gone eastwards. That would have happened under any government.

I know they have supposed to have reneged on an agreement they made in 2007, but everyone including BA were "quids in" in 2007 - the economic landscape now is somewhat different.

It would certainly complement my mood whilst christmas shopping

You may be right but I had got used to living in the post thatcher world and was making progress and then Labour ballsed it up again

I see that the turnout for the vote was high and that the vast majority voted for the strike - but this has got me thinking. How many of the staff actually vote on the merits of the action and how many vote along union lines because that is what is expected ( A bit like voting L aboutr / Tory beacause you always have or because your parents did) I say this because I read St rich's post re the statement from Unite and it seems to be an attempt to justify the action to their members. I also loved this bit "Ruined Christmases will eventually be forgotten" - don't count on it

Should Pardew rest players in JPT game ahead of Leeds?
CB Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Seeing as the Leeds game is the hardest and their is a good chance we may not pick up any points, perhaps we should rest our first team for that match and ensure we a fully fit, rested squad (with no suspensions) to guarentee picking up points against the "easier" teams.... ....just to be argumentative -
Pretty cynical by the unions to choose the xmas break. It won't win them much support.

Can someone tell me what is so good about the Kingsland stands? Have they installed padded seats or in stand heating that I wasn't aware of? Yes it is nice to sit in "your own" seat in cup games surrounded by familiar faces but, I am at a loss to understand why it is so important to sit in a specific seat at a cup game. And to boycott the game on that principle... Come on people get some perspective and concentrate on what's really important - supporting a team you love.

Is Giggs a legend? - I'm not sure - he certainly is one of the best and most successful footballers of his generation and is more likely to be a lgend to Man U fans, but I think he still falls short of legendary status. A legend needs to capture the imagination of the public at large and have a profund impact on their sport eg Tiger Woods, Micheal Jordon and Michael Schumacher - in football you would have to look at Pele and Maradonna. Saints have legends sure - MLT, Stokes, Channon, Keagan but are they legends of the game as a whole,? Probably not. Also I don't think past misdemeanors affects their status unless they do something like take drugs etc. Tiger Woods will still be one of the greatest golfers of all time - he is just a bad husband.

Should Pardew rest players in JPT game ahead of Leeds?
CB Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I agree that the League is more important than the JPT, However I also beleive we have a far more realistic chance of winning the cup than we do getting to the play offs. As I said in a previous post, making up the 9 points on the playoff teams will be difficult as they are all picking up points each week. On that basis - first team on Tuesday. No malingering -
Just glad the bloody thing finishes today. What with that and I'm a celebrity, I haven't been able to prise the remote off the missus for the last two months.

My theory for what it's worth... SFC give Echo exclusive on new development and provide them with copy, plans and images so they can get their article together to publish the same day as the press conference. Story breaks and details emerge on Sky etc. Echo thinks s0d it, the story is public so let's just print the story now, forgetting / ignoring that they gave an assurance to NC not to print SFC supplied info prior to press conference. NC gets annoyed thinking that Echo has gone back on its word and decides to teach the Echo a lesson, hence the ban. Echo whines about the unfairness of it all. I suspect everyone will be holding hands again in a couple of weeks. Much ado about nothing

Plus by that point everyone else will be too p*ssed to notice / care

It's certainty better than what we were facing six months ago. On an up side, I am actually enjoying my football again - something that has been missing for a considerable time.

My thoughts exactly - Killer did a great job for us, one of my favourite past players and that is where he should be fondly remembered - in the past.

A player like Waigo makes it difficult for the defenders. They natually want to push up but with a speed merchant like Waigo on their heels they will feel nervous. It will play on their minds that Waigo likes to make runs and whilst they have got him offside for the most part it only takes one small lapse of concentration at the back for him to be in. It can be frustrating and last night was a bit comical, but it can be a useful tactic.

Reckon that the chance of prem football and of course £20 -30k week ought to do the trick. Lallana will stay if he thinks we can go up this season. If not, the prospect of other L1 season and at least 2 in the CCC will be enough to see him on his way. Three years is a long time to wait if you are that young.

Ok stattos, what is the cost per goal so far?
-
Only 4 points off 11th place - reckon we might make some progress now
