But he did manage to roll ours in enough glitter to attract ML

The £22m can't include Chanrai's debt therefore any land sale will only increase the operating costs and make it harder for them to trade solvently. The land sale would of course get £10 million of assets out of PCFC Ltd.

"However, this depends on the Premier League's bottom-placed team *finishing 17th as all the club's forecasts have been based on avoiding relegation" WTF. Have they seen the table recently?
-
OK, the point is still valid if you substitute FA with PL. My brain is winding down for the week, please forgive my slip ups.
-
You have to wonder if the FA just said "if they go bust, meh, we will readjust the table" then all the fuss n the media would just go away. The FA always seems to procrastinate on these decisions under the guise of given them due consideration, but, ironically, the delays only seem to make matters worse. It's simple - adopt a line early and stick to it.

Of course he did, by virtue of his mega high proflie. If your life is under that level of scrutiny then you really should think twice before playing around as it always gets out. If tiger was a nobody then it would not have been reported and his wife could have kept her humiliation relatively private. As it is, the world knows she was cheated on. He also said that there was absolutely no truth in the golf club beating thing
-
Tiger humiliated his wife publicly, I think it is right that he apologised publicly. It is just one step he needs to take. Fair play to him though, he was unreserved in blaming himself and didn't look for any excuses.

Hope I am sat behind him! -
PFC must be really confident about these latest two interested parties as they have convinced the court to adjourn as well as give up any hope of hiding in administration. I think that they have gone "all in" by allowing the winding up order hearing to take place. I have a feeling that the question that will be asked next week will be why didn't we go into admin yesterday.

The most bizarre id ing that I had was when I went to see the NY Mets baseball. They Id anyone who appears under the age of 40 but will serve anyone who can prove they are 21. They also sell beer in the stands. You shout your order down. Pass your money (and id) to the guy sat next to you who passes it on to the guy next to him and so on and eventually your beer (unsipped) and your change (all of it) turns up. Very civilised. Could never see that happening at an english football ground. Your money would be nicked and your id cloned and any beer that began the return journey would have been mineswept before it got to you.

My great Granddad was forty when he signed up in 1916. Family legend has it that he went to the pub one night, and somehow came back signed up to the Wiltshire Regiment. Unfortunately he was killed in Arras in 1918.

One was a royal marine on the King George V battleship. Fired the guns that helped sink the Bismark. The other was in the Royal Engineers map survey company. We have one of his diaries and as far as I can tell spent most of 1944 drinking, playing football and chasing girls across north Africa and up Italy.

Fair points - but does it really work. I suppose the debate is whether children with serious issues like the kid in the second example should be taught in a mainstream environment. I guess there is no easy answer to this as he deserves the same chances in life as everyone else, but at the same time it should not be to the detriment of the other pupils or teaching staff.

Any new owner would want a clean slate (to a certain extent) The last thing they would want would be the current band of vultures circling the club and dirtying the waters. Not entirely sure Gaidamak has much choice. On wednesday they will be in admin if nothing changes and he will lose £28m. Or he could accept a smaller payment now if a buyer turned up. No buyer will be held to ransom by this lot because on Wednesday he can get the club on the cheap without debt.
-
He already owns the land but he is also owed £28m by the club. So it will be a question of accepting, say, £5.6m (assuming 20p in the £1) or potentially getting nothing. Depends on how much the land is worth really.

Perhaps someone in education can enlighten me... I was told yeasterday that kids in (senior) school are given time out cards. The idea being that if they get too angry or frustrated they can "play" the card and the teacher has to let them step out of the class room for ten minutes. Is this realy true? Are we really pandering this much to the kids these days?
-
I like this sash idea. If umbro do it in the England tailored style and in a half decent fabric (Not the usual rayon / nylon affair as, let's face it, most footie shirts are of crap quality) it will be a classic.

I wonder just how much of an ass kicking he got at home. She doesn't strike me as someone who would hold back. On the up side, you would never notice if she gave him a black eye.
