  2. There is a real chance of a Labour / SNP coalition, now seeing as Labour will not negotiate on Trident and the SNP have kinda / sorta ruled out a new referendum, what will The SNP demand as kingmakers? a greater proportion of the oil revenues? uplift in the Barnett formula? any thoughts?
  3. Saw this in the comments on the BBC site - made me chuckle Tory's want to take us back to the 1980s Labour want to take us back to the 1970s UKIP want to take us back to the 1950s SNP want to take us back to the 1600s Plaid want to take us back to the 1200s Greens want to take us back to the U.S back to the U.S back to the U.S.S.R
  4. The Bear looks somewhat surprised - Cant believe his luck? Whereas the look on the lady bears face can only be described as "Meh".
  5. from a moral standpoint I actually agree with what they are trying to achieve, however it has been a political car crash for them and every MP has been on the back foot all day because of it.
  6. the labour MPs who were penned in to do interviews today must have been crying into their weetabix when this broke today
  7. Maybe we should send a bill to the Italians, Danes and French
  8. The non dom system is a bit of a joke and we have some of the softest laws on this. My view is this - if you live and work in the country then all uk derived income is taxable from day 1 - once you hit two years then you are resident and your worldwide income should fall under the tax system - It is not going to be too disastrous for the rich as we have double tax agreements with a lot of countries that gives credit for any tax paid in the originating country. Ed Balls has caused himself to look a bit daft given that not only he has reversed his position, he has changed the anticipated outcome to suit his message. FWIW I would implement this even is it costs a bit of money as there has to be a sense of fairness that everyone is treated the same by the tax system and the Non- dom rule clearly does not do this
  9. I love these letters. i am pretty sure if I looked hard enough I could find 100 business leaders who support labour and 100 doctors who support the Tories.
  10. Effectively he is saying that the British electorate is collectively too stupid to make such an important decision that will affect us for the rest of our lives. How about you present the facts (and I mean facts) without spin or sexing them up and maybe, just maybe, we might get it right. Does anyone one still like / respect this man?
  11. Having Bournemouth and Brentford in the EPL would just be amazing. I reckon the pre season odds would have been tasty
  12. A pretty strong letter from someone who "was not acquainted" with Farage. Like people have said, it is an 30+ year old letter about a 17 year old boy. At that age and especially from private schools kids think they know it all and accordingly hold very strong opinions, rightly or wrongly. To hold that letter against the Fararge of today, is clutching at straws however much you hate Fararge or UKIP.
  13. Nah, you could easily substitute 'tw4t' with 'cock' or 'pr1ck' to describe someone who justifies the use of the word 'mong'.
  14. Because there is no justifiable reason to use the word "Mong" in any situation, however there are times when use of the word "tw4t" is absolutely correct. eg people who try to justify the use of the word "mong" are tw4ts
  15. ffs I am staying just down the road, how did I miss this (the beer festival not farage)
  16. if they are in, we are in, seeing as Latvia is a NATO country
  17. Lif it is neck a neck and the libs were the king makers, I wonder which way they would jump this time
  18. You know what, if sturgeon was English and represented Labour, they would win with a landslide
  19. apparently 0 hours contracts is not the same as casual contracts. How? In both cases there is no guaranteed income. maybe if I hire all my staff on casual contracts that would be ok in EDs eyes.
  20. no it is just a simple fact that Mickey mouse could stand for labour and Donald duck could stand for the Tories and they would still get 30% of the vote each
  21. Great shot by Cameron. Milliband saying he'll legislate against 0 hours contracts, then Dave pointing out that 70 labour MPs use them to employ their staff.
  22. Which one of the 7
  23. Just flick over for two minutes and realised that I would rather watch Greg Wallace than these 7 pillocks
  24. What you are suggesting is a pipe dream if you are relying on peoples moral obligation.
