From good old wiki Origins Main article: Origin of the Romani people Linguistic and genetic evidence indicates the Romanies originated from the Indian subcontinent, emigrating from India towards the northwest no earlier than the 11th century. The Romani are generally believed to have originated in central India, possibly in the modern Indian state of Rajasthan, migrating to northwest India (the Punjab region) around 250 BC. In the centuries spent here, there may have been close interaction with such established groups as the Rajputs and the Jats. Their subsequent westward migration, possibly in waves, is believed to have occurred between AD 500 and AD 1000.

Went to Granada in Spain this year. They are famous for their Gypsies - flamenco and all that. Apparently back in the day they turned up from India. The Grandians wouldn't let the in the city (didn;t want the moat tarmac'ed) so they set up home in the caves. They are still there to this day.

Vow to thee would be a disaster - you need to be able to sing in tune. I t would be murdered by a stadium full of half drunk footie fans. -
What would we be doing if Exxon or Cononco had release miilions of gallons of crude into the north sea? Pretty much the same as Obama I guess. BP have been crassly negligent. I have heard one story that this problem was highlighted to th BP official by the head of a team of contractors who were on the rig a few days before the disaster. He was ignored.. The contractor manager then requested that his team be airlifted off the rig because it was too dangerous, and his request was refused. Finally he called up his head office and told them. They sent out a chopper and picked up him and his team the day before the explosion. One other story which was reported was that Haliburton (US Oil services contractor) had recommended that 20+ saftey devices be fitted on the well, and only 6 were. It is all about time and money. For every minute the well isn't pumping, the rig is losing serious money. The rig managers will be targetted on oil production so every hold up affects them personally. In this case I believe corner's were cut. Another thing to consider is that so far BP have been soaking up all the critism and focused entirely on stopping the leak and rightly so. At some point they will turn their gunsights on other people such as the operator, Transocean (us company).

Some bloke on 5 Live said that the ONS don't measure all crime just certain crimes. The methodology for measuring crime has also changed several times over the last 30 years. The police also measure crime but not the same ones as the ONS and neither record recently criminlised actions such internet fraud. Who knows what's right

........ off the head of a clueless administrator and into the back of the net. Pompey now face 3 months of extra time:o
-
To put this into footballing terms... It the 91st minute of full time in the FA cup final. The score is one - nil to pompey. HMRC has a corner. Everyone is up for it including the keeper. The HMRC barrister floats one into the box. Everyone rises to meet the ball and it goes....... ......To be continued. Will the revenue get extra time or will AA go off into the distance with a big fat win bonus?

So's mine. We were shown it in a chemistry lesson. As I recall the glass bowl holding the water shattered. We were only allowed to put magnesium in the water, similar effect but much less powerful. Still, great fun for budding pyromaniacs.

I use this lot http://www.romseychiropracticclinic.co.uk/ Expect at least three visits initially - £50 - 60 for the first trip and 30 to 40 afterwards. Chances are that the muscles in your back will be swollen and be pushing on the nerves. They will also give you exercises to do. Use a ice pack for 15 min a couple of times a day- it will stiffen you back a bit but will reduce the swelling over time. Oh and ibruprofen.

People should be able to wear what they want, however from a personal point of view I don't like them. Whilst some women choose to wear them, you can bet that many are forced to.

I love this comment: Old Joe Malone, Portsmouth 13/07/2010 17:07:40 HMRC should accept the part they have played. They should have stepped in a long, long time ago. Allowing debts to build up in the way they have is not good for anyone and that is one of the reasons why they are only getting a fraction of the money owed to them. It can't have come as a big shock to them to find players in the Premier League were receiving money via image rights. If it has it only shows how poor they have been. Having said that they have the right to appeal and if they do we just have to get on with it, but they should also take a good look at themselves and how they have let the debt to them get out of hand

Sorry, another teacher bashing thread I'm afraid......

£86k basic Back pay because he was underpaid for a couple of year Bonus for turning a school around from poor to outstanding in a year £10k of overtime The only issue I have is if you are paid £80k plus - you should n't get overtime. Its grandstanding by the unions to get the issue of teachers pay on the front page. Worked didn't it. -
