Why don't you just point out to him that Milan Mandaric was born in Croatia before the war (no doubt of catholic extraction) where the inhabitants were so murderous and violently sadistically brutal, even hard-line Nazi's called them "animals".

I remember very well the blue few banging on about how the players they signed were cheap because they were on a "free"....seems they forgot their wages....well, that's not unlike Pompey now is it!

England Invented Football & FIFA Stle it from us
Hockey_saint replied to dubai_phil's topic in The Lounge
He's right though. You can kick an object about but without the rules, it's not football...he's also right that it was founded in England and for Germany to try and strip us of our honourary place on the FIFA board is cvntish....shame he had to be drunk to say what everyone in England thinks however. -
It's a Germanic name so it's a K and not a C ...so that would be Markus then? I assume that's who this thread is talking about?

You two.....seriously, I could give 6 million of god's own people as to a reason for there being no "invisible all knowing omnipitant being" but I'd prefer not to, so shall we stick to the football?

I think we should thank whoever put that ad in the financial times!!.....Really.

The one thing I don't understand about the West Ham fans is their terrible memories! I found this snippet from Knees Up Mother Brown concerning ours and Reading's challenege to their "god-given" right to the championship: "If he get's us up this year he deserves another couple of seasons. The main problem with us being in this league is that everyone sees us a massive scalp and raises their game. Reading and Southampton (for the first 10 games before they emerged as genuine contenders) don't have to face up to that problem plus the extra pressures." I take it they don't remember the begininng of the season? our unbeaten run that took us to second and then the top within the first few games? we've been here pretty much all season....seriously dellusional.

Fact is, most of the 9/11 terrorists came from Saudi Arabia but of course we can't touch that country because A. They are supposedly allies and B. They have lots and lots of oil.

He might (Westwood) on the face of it appear to be very charming but it didn't stop him deficating on one of the seats at St. Mary's did it?...to wit, why is he not automatically banned?

But again, doesn't less people equate to less council tax for the PCC therefore them supposedly having less...this can be seen with things like cuts to the QA in a lot of ways similar to my arguement above....s'all about money.

Still, they must hate the fact the initial line calls them the "second biggest city in the county of Hampshire"

I've had a bit of a look at the Snooze today and noticed some of the few saying the following "Its all the scummers can do is point to them having bigger attendences than us, so what?" I really do wish someone would point out to them that the higher the gate number, the more money they make; not just on tickets but incidentals too such as programmes, merch etc so when we mention or attendences we're pointing to one tangible thing that might prove some difference between make or brake....bleedin idiots; don't they realise it's not enough anymore just to say "we're the loudest and proudest"? what's loud eh? does it have a monetary value? no....fools.

Funny, we assumed it was yours!

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/birch-meets-chainrai-to-discuss-club-s-future-1-3589121 Hidden in that article is the following line which makes me suspect that he probably doesn't actually have the money to "step in": "It’s not a case of stepping in because the gap at the moment is too large and unknown in terms of what he’s signing up for"

Look, I looked at the fixture sheet when it first came out at the beginning of the season and thought "there isn't a single team there that I think we could easily beat" and look at us now, is there a team we think we couldn't do that to now? come on, keep the faith! Together as one! we're on the bus, on the boat and we can do this!
-
I think that sums it up; for me, the Niemi triple save was the best, but as far as the best 90 minute goalkeeping display goes? it has to go to Kelv.
-
Arghhh you beat me to it!!!!Such a great one though!

Love the Salt & Pepper number!! Apologies to Salt & Pepa Let's Talk about Tax, Pompey Let's talk about VAT Lets talk about how the oxf*rd That you could afford Benjani Lets talk about Tax

Good point (for one slightly too close to the fishy few) so really, they've very few "fans" and I'd personally like to see how many "fans" they'll have if they make it to league one
-
Ah, but they were the bestest 16770 of the best fans in the world so that equates to 50,000 apparently! Personally, if they don't get liquidated soon, I think being done up the crapper by Chinny again is as equally funny
-
Yes, but as the next contributor pointed out; that's been written down now as a threat, perhaps someone should forward it to the proper authorities at St. Mary's.

Why did that interview remind me a bit of Timmy's (Flowers for those of you too young to still nickname him that) "cus we've got bottle" speech on the way to Blackburn winning the title?

I loved this from one of the Telegraph posters!: "As a resident of Portsmouth, I would very much like to see the club gone. The town is a traffic stand still when they play at home; and the vile, loud mouth supporters seems to believe behaving like animals after every game is justified. I have always wondered how the Southampton lot earned the name 'scum'. It is a name more apt for Pompey fans. The stadium seems to be 'revered' because of some bizarre nostalgic sentiment. Utter crap. It is simply an embarrassing shed that most fans wouldn't give a backward glance at if another stadium was built. I'll never forget how those scum went on a wrecking spree in their home town. Begone PFC - your time was over years ago." So brilliant and true, I'm sure it must have been one of us!

That's a big fat A from me!
