  1. Man, I'd sell my left bollock before I'd get rid of my guitar...must be urgent!
  2. Yep, it's all conjecture....I'm quite a lefty and read the Guardian quite a bit, but I have to say a lot of their sporting articles have been wayyyyy off. Plus, if Farmery took the time to actually READ the FL Statement it's NOT for the same thing.
  3. To be fair, we should have won the championship title but as it appears to be a poisonous chalace I think dodged the bullet. But I'd go for the twin promotions.
  4. I completely forget the Brentford manager was also the last saints player to score at the Dell! well done Uwe Rosler!
  5. To be fair, there is a jobs board outside one of the many Polish shops in Shirley (A.K.A The mutant mile) written completely in Polish; don't tell me none of those jobs are not just specifically targeted at ONLY Eastern Europeans.
  6. I knew it was St. something.....drats!
  7. From that video is it fair to deduce that either Mauricio's English is coming on a treat or that Adam's Spanish is pretty good (I also heard he was from St. Helens and was nicked from the Bournemouth set-up, add on being an Everton fan, not so 100% saints but we'll take him anyhow )
  8. As opposed to © Margret Thatcher who'd just burn the householder. In other words lets not try to bring Politics into this we're better than Porky Penny.
  9. But they aint owners...they have 20% share in the club and in business terms....20% represents the square root of f uck all....a few property developers will now own the shell of a club.
  10. I think it's a great idea, a few years ago I did an extra language unit for my masters and really necisito to get back in it...I speak Spanish like Yoda though, por ejemplo, cada tiemplo soy habla, soy lo tengo problemos muchos con lectras y parables. I will say though, for most of the interviews Mauricio has done, he's either very focused and detailed in what he says or he's just speaking Spanish very simply and slowly so that his translator can understand.
  11. So we live in a country where a woman who caused pain and suffering to half the population gets a national funeral and where a bunch of tax cheats get their ill-gotten gains wiped out by a judge...disgusting.
  12. I do so love people that quote Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, ancestor to the Duke of Marlborough (a distant cousin of Princess Diana and the Spencer family) concerning socialism....I mean, surely that's like asking Lord Astor (ironically David Cameron's father-in-law) about the poor.....seriously, what the heck do you think he ever knew? I do agree with someone I know however, when someone said to them that "well....she was a mother herself" they replied with "yeah, and her kids appeared to really love her!!....besides, tell that to the mothers of all the coal miners who's lives they ruined". I've said before that we should never celebrate her dying but we do need to remember her without rose-tinted glasses. I myself am thankful for her educational cost-saving measures otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go to mainstream school but from a historical point of view (and a history of Africa one) she was the complex person there too....she seemingly stitched up Ian Douglas Smith in Rhodesia as he'd expected that she would lend them the swupport of which she later did to the South African Apartheid government.
  13. You should never ever celebrate someone's death. Maragret Thatcher, for me, was an odd figure. She clearly bought into the Powellist view of political (she used a heck of a lot of his financial ideas and was as much of an anti-German/European as him...and I suppose, if you consider she was the same age as my World War 2 veteran grandfather, that's not surprising)... Really, I'm shocked for 2 reasons, 1. ok, despite a lot of the bad things she is supposed to have done (like attempt to make people stand on their own 2 feet.....maybe in a misplaced way), she's influenced politics like no one else for a very long time and 2. thinking about that Enoch Powell link got me doing some reading into the man and boy! was I ever shocked!! I read through one source and must have thought what Maggie did!! (aside from his stance on immigration which was slightly out of step with all his other views) this man was a political genius! and ironically, on certain things Maggie was even more extreme than he was! anyhow, rip Margret Thatcher.
  14. I know who was to blame!!!.....the coalition government assured me! (so it must be true!).....people on benefits!
  15. To be fair to Alan Pardew (and concerning Rickie Lambert you have to be pretty fair since he did persuade Nicola that in League One he was worth a million....he obviously knew he was worth much more) he's always said Holt wasn't anywhere near as good as Rickie Lambert.
  16. Bit foolish of me to be sucked into that Disabled parking bay argument so I'll say "ok, it hit a bit of a nerve" I really hate people that do that and it was a ill-thought out response but either way, no matter the party they'll probably act the same way for popularity...still, I think it's not right to make the association because I believe that it doesn't matter how tough or strict a system such as the benefits one is, there will always be those who will be able to get around it.
  17. Viking Warrior, sorry about the late response but I disagree, Solentstars was right, he was disgustingly playing to the gallery...probably soon after he parked his car in a disabled bay, showing what he thinks of the disabled as well. Don't get me wrong, it's a politician thing, either side, they have a polarised view of things and they consistantly believe, rightly or wrongly, that their way is the correct way...but it's disgraceful and contemptuous for a man single-handidly destroying the welfare state and driving people into poverty to say even allow himself to be drawn into such a discussion. Also, it's our growing elderly population that is making the NHS, joblessness and the benefit system unmanageable yet those are generally conservative heartland voters so they won't touch them....unlike the poor and disabled.
  18. Personally, I also find the privately-educated, millionaire politician who's jumped on this and used it as an excuse to justify his demolition of the welfare state scum as well.
  19. Didn't he once play for Brighton? what do you expect?
  20. Don't they say that often what truly defines an evil person is a lack of any kind of feeling? well this Mick fella appears to have that aspect of his personality in bundles....I really shouldn't have been surprised at how quickly the women in his life aged as well and let's face it, if you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem which I think makes them as culpable as him.
  21. hahahahahaha .......love the Micah Hall fighting fund as well! well, if you really wish to report idle gossip as fact, what do you expect?:facepalm::facepalm:
  22. Yeah, the looks I often get when I try to explain what squash is.
  23. Oh good, I'm flying with Emirates in September to NZ on an A380 and whilst, yes, from my experience of once being fat (completely preventable now however as they don't think I was allergic at all...potential medical negligence case against the NHS) are not good, I agree, being a very slim guy these days it does appear that being fat rather than slim appears to be the norm.
  24. Completely agree. I was once very fat and the reason for this was complex....essentially I had a mechanical device inside me keeping me alive that was coated in a material I (the doctors thought at the time) was allergic to and they couldn't possibly remove it until a new one without said material was made and shipped, so the docs pumped with full of medical steroids for months and whilst being sick *ipso not weightlifting...I became incredibly fat....ok, so it all went very quickly when it was all done but I know I came across a large number of ignorant pr!ck5 who made statements like that Barry Sanchez so, seriously, maybe think about the next fat person you see. pretty narrow-minded view I'm afraid.
