KelvansRightGlove he's talking to me; You can always make links if you wish to...it's just not particularly hard in certain political areas. The same for both sides but when you're at the bottom it's hard to understand the right so I suppose if you've done reasonably well or if you feel you are continually striving towards it (Cameron's society of strivers for example), it's hard to understand the left.

Yes, wanting equality for all....those evil lefties eh?
-
It's very easy to link UKIP with the BNP actually...Then again, it's very easy to link Toryism to Nazism. As for worrying about European Immigration...well, we crapped on the planet for such a long time, it's unfortunately fair that they might do the same to us. In my view people who worry about immigration want to have their cake and eat it...well, I'm sorry but you can't.

I'd say it wasn't just me...what happens every time he leaves the country again? he either gets pelted with coins or told in no uncertain terms he's not wanted. He plays to the crowd.

It's more the fact that nationalism is a paradigm that was created to keep people in line (generally by the people who have it good to silence those that don't), xenophobic and generally bend to the will of those in power unquestionably and to a lot of people, nationalism IS just an excuse to be a bigot which is why people view Farage as a bigoted buffoon.

Seems reasonable. Remember though, from the last point? that's basically the standard line from your a-typical UKIP voter "I think we should get back to getting closer to the commonwealth; you know, Canada, New Zealand, Australia....none of those darkie countries though, like India or Africa." And also, yep, UKIP's main focus is in retain sovereignty but have you seen their social care policies?.....Shocking.
-
Nah, they've been incredibly lucky.....where's their -10 points?

2 things though.... 1. If she's told she has to stay in the US to avoid extradition, then that's no biggy, a majority of US citizens have never and will never own a passport (to be fair, I've spent almost a year of my life in most continuous mainland states of the US and it's so beautiful and varied, I can understand why.) 2. I bring your attention to the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerolinee_Itavia_Flight_870 Italian justice is an odd thing, for example, in the case above, the evidence and chief investigator found conclusive evidence that it was bombed and exactly where the bomb was hidden but the Italian supreme court ignored this and gave the families of the victims millions to appease them blaming the Italian government on the basis of the pilots last words being "look!"(even though the person that did it may still be a free man....although I suspect it was a test run for Lockerbie).

I've never understood the Darren Anderton situation; did he ever have a trial with us?
-
This sounds weird, but trust me, it's apparently true (and considering my grandfather's family all live in the Somerset / Dorset area, I'm inclined to believe it) but historically, my family name....i.e. Hockey, comes from the Somerset Levels (hoccsleigh being the old version) and translated it means "Mallow island dweller" (on the old in-land sea that the levels actually are) so if you consider that it was an inland ocean with islands that my forbearers lived on and indeed that it's below sea level is it any surprise?....it's kinda in my name and if you don't expect this kinda thing living around what was a large body of water...well....

I should have bloomin known that!!....bugger! (I've been to Casa Brasil and had a chat with the manager, a Brazilian and was surprised to find out that even though his restaurant is close to St. Mary's he wasn't aware the founder of Brazilian football played down the road).

Is it C B Fry (yes, he's a distant relative of Stephen Fry), at one point, the most well known and skillful sportsperson of his generation and also a saints player who was in 2 FA Cup finals for us....if it's not him, then seriously, who is it?
-
Is that not the most cringe-worthy video you've ever seen?....I mean, you could say it's pro-Nazi thanks to the little title reign mention. They really don't have any shame.
-
I'd heard Nicholl played him more as a winger and that seemed to be the case in that video...quality stuff from Shearer too!
-
And Adkins was a goalkeeper.... (obviously not of the international quality that Nicholl was a defender)

Spat upon by the bestest fans in the whole wide world innit bruv.....he should feel honored!

Begrudging thanks to Rupert Lowe and Southampton City Council
Hockey_saint replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
If it was Lowe who decided that "Crosseley place" (i.e. after the fat keeper who has the dubious honour of being the only man to save an MLT Penalty in a competitive game) was a great name for a street built on where the Dell used to be off Milton road, then I'd happy put in a petition for public castration but otherwise I concur with the Fitzhugh fella up there, he was a polarising figure from the minute he performed a reverse takeover with his granny homes building company and really, I think his negatives far outweigh the positives. -
Even bigger for a Skrill side!

Bestest fans in the world eh?

OK, You've won me over....or rather Jenny from the block has....I'd like to get on that 6! I'm such a simple man.....with a busted metatarsal arghhhh

Mauricio Pochettino staying as Southampton manager - Official
Hockey_saint replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
I agree, a lot of what he said was not directly translated by the translator, for example, at one point he said "I'm here until the summer" which was translated to "I'm here until the end of my contract". -
Mauricio Pochettino staying as Southampton manager - Official
Hockey_saint replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
I did enjoy how he had to correct the English of the translator "The current owner, not the new one!"...he was snippeting English all through that.
