The only reason it made me chuckle was because my Spanish teacher was actually from Argentina (coincidently also of Italian descent) and he always took the Michael out of Spanish people that did the B instead of V bit. Although if you watch that Phoenix from the flames clip with Koeman from 94 I think? His English was a shedload better back then than MoPo's and he's spent essentially no time in the UK (But he did look like the Milky Bar kid however ;p)

You can always tell a Spanish person who's rubbish at English because they always pronounce their V's a B's (as in Bery Bery good). Now if you watch the video on Sky, he does that ALL the time. The thing is, in Argentina, they pronounce their V's as V's so essentially, he's spent far too long in Spain and after nearly 2 years, his English is still god-awful.

I really do not understand how it's even this close? do they really hate us English THAT much?...sure, they can say it's "Westminster" but we all know that word is just replacing "the English"; it's, to quote a Scot I was talking to today, just blind hatred, All these problems not been faced let along talked about; they'd throw everything away to get rid of us? I think I heard a Scot actually say on one of these Question Time debates on the BBC the other that he felt that all the Scots were doing was saying that they couldn't give a flying f£ck about the rest of Great Britain and just want "their" oil (I think that's essentially what it's about). Lets just hope we don't have to bail them out like we did after their independent colonial adventure last time which left them bankrupt desperate for union with us.

Having said what I have, I have been to Casa Brasil on the high street and the Brazilian manager (although, the cavat being that most of the staff are from Portugal) had never heard of him even though he's from down the road...although I would suggest if they reply "I haven't the foggiest" perhaps direct them to that ever-so-reliable (lol) source, wikipedia, they've got it all there.

Odd because I once spent Brazillian Independence day in New York with tons of Brazillian soccer fans and they all knew who Charles (Carlos) Miller was...there is a statue of him outside the corinthians stadium.

It is pretty well-known, there are statues of him around Brazil and pretty much every Brazillian knows who Carlos Miller is. Southampton, for a long time were invited down to Brazil for a founders tourny. Like it's said above, how didn't you know?
