I think the crux of my argument as far as the bus goes is that the NHS and that amount are on the same canvas as it were and if you were to try and, for example, sell something with advertising like that in a retail sense, you'd find yourself in serious trouble with misleading advertising and trading standards because like it or not, the very mention of the NHS is associating it with that amount of money, which, dispite what the right wingers say here is a bit dodgy.

The pound has tanked (which is quite a serious issue actually)...it's a pretty negative effect on my spending money so yeah...that's hard to take seriously is it? You're either well, quite a dishonest person to think the bus issue is ok, or you're just a troll like GM.

Why is it straightforward?....write on a bus we'll save tons of money, mention the NHS on the same bus and it's disgracefully misleading at best......I fail to understand your worming about on this.

It's pretty dire already, look at the pound, I'm off to NZ in a few months and my travel pounds are now worth bugger all. We've not even left yet!

Obviously the battle plan for leave was "grab the xenophobic pensioners and right wingers" (like yourself) and "then grab the people who actually want to believe the NHS is worth saving" and who believe obvious misinterpretations. Why go to the effort of painting that on a bus if you don't intend on people thinking there will be a cash windfall...you haven't answered that one I see.

I do actually know quite a few people.....quite a few nurses who actually thought they'd get more money for it. But if you know that's what people will think, at best it's misleading and absolutely shameful.

Well, they can't sue the politicians that wrote it.....so maybe the sign writers for false advertisement. No, I kinda agree with a lot of what the leave voters say but some of the migration stuff does err towards xenophobia at the least and I'd also like to see some realistic financial planning...there has been none. none at all. You cannot run a country on hope and "oh it'll be alright" that's crazy talk. It does appear the public bought it however.....well, 52% of them, not the 68% they got in the 70s which actually was a realistic majority.

i'd be careful choosing Osborne because most people can see he would have been one of the staunchest leave campaigners if he didn't know the pound would tank, investment would be in the gutter whilst we achieve nothing that leave campaigned for. What;s that line? oh yes "not all leave voters are racist but all racists will vote leave" The consequences are not old hat. But the national front, UKIP, Britain First....they all voted to leave. If the NHS goes down the pan without the promised funding, a lot of families could be that worse off through insurance and such. either way, 48 percent of the country voted to remain and a fair percent of those that didnt voted on the basis of lies told by a bunch of right wing buffoons but then, maybe more fool them. But as I say, Nigel Farage himself said if it was a 48/52 split he'd carry on the fight, what right do you have to be a petty child and try to pack up your toys and say "boo hoo it's done now" it isnt our country at the minute is run by clowns and an absolute laughing stock which is painful to see.

That's the thing isn't it? the largest percentage of the poorest who voted to leave, live in towns heavily funded by the EU.....Insane. Where do they think their money is going to come from now? I sway kinda to both sides actually, I do worry about the state of the NHS without a fair whack of it's workforce and being ruled by an overly ambitious right wing government. I applaud them stopping repeated checks on autistic people for ESA but I'd be mainly worried about where the money to fund such things in the future were coming from. It's awkward and a very complex issue. I'm just saying it's not a game and it's not something to gloat over.

You really shouldn't lower yourself to such depths. This is quite an important issue potentially effecting the lives of a great many people. Not really anything to childishly s****** over, whichever side you are on.

I like the one about the EU MEPs being "unelected"....Aside from the EU Elections we have and the very ones that elected old Nige' in to begin with. This is interesting from Alastair Campbell however. I also think he's kinda right although I hypothesise that 2004 was the trigger when people realised that free movement meant just that and that although the other western EU states didn't really see any need to come here en mass, the relatively economically poorer A8 countries saw the disparity in wages mainly and decided to use the right they felt they voted for and that most of us had simply ignored. I mean, our relationship with the EU has always been tenuous at best and that just about broke the camel's back. So nope, I wouldn't call it any type of phobia but more a shock reaction by the public at this (capitalised on by right (and traditional left)wing politicians of course). But the crux of my point is that this whole issue is about ignorance. Ignorance to understand what we signed up for in the first place, ignorance to think those with a much much lower income level to us wouldn't want to come here; an ignorance by the labour party to think it wouldn't happen.
