  1. Yes yes, we've all moved on...and look where it's gotten us. a babbling buffoon in office and the highest death rate in Europe. If you think Rupert Lowe is not a great example of the people you've sided with, then there you go, ignorance is bliss. And btw, if you think Rupert Lowe is the only rich, right wing nutjob in that bunch pretending to be on your side, then, well, there's no hope is there?...................Imagine thinking people like Rupert Lowe and Anne Widdecombe were freedom fighters and fighting for your rights and the rights of common folk...lol laughable.
  2. Classic Boris quote right there "I've been shaking hands with all sorts of people with Coronavirus"...what could possibly go wrong? In the election, quite rightly, the government accused Corbyn of being weak and dithering and I think it's those things that have caused us so many issues. Too many people thinking "I'm alright Jack, sod the rest"
  3. And the correlation between that and our figures seems interesting. You are right though, the government have never been completely forthcoming with what it is they exactly wanted us to do.
  4. Kinda what this thread is about...... I like the great big shout of "oh, but I'm definitely not a racist" shout from you though. Either way, I'm just not a big fan of the man who put us into administration twice, so anything he says is right, I tend to do the opposite. Perchance, were you one of the fans protesting against Rupert Lowe? Is he your hero now then? It's just, if it's got Rupert Lowe and a bunch of flag-waving neo-nazis attached to it, I tend to think it's not the "good" side.
  5. Still not a lockdown though is it? Either way you cut it. There's also no need to be rude. But I do admit to being absolutely way out on that. (Still no excuse for rudeness). But I did find these rather interesting. It's also obvious to everyone who's been allow out...be thankful you've had the opportunity. https://www.gstatic.com/covid19/mobility/2020-04-30_GB_Mobility_Report_en.pdf
  6. Are you suggesting I'm a Corbynite? I certainly am not. In my view Corbyn was a good example of those who fail to learn from history...i.e. Michael Foot. But nicely stereotyped....kind a expected really but definition? Can having strong connections to Steve Bannon be classed as having links to the far right? I would certainly suggest so. I do like the New Yorker; it's always insightful but either way, you're clutching if you're trying to deny the links. https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/new-evidence-emerges-of-steve-bannon-and-cambridge-analyticas-role-in-brexit
  7. Air travel is now, for sure....still no testing and checking on landing though; it certainly wasn't down when he got back though and Whitey Grandad, I live off Winchester road and I haven't noticed a huge difference to be honest. Also, I find it interesting this new tracking software is using Apple maps and not Google (I know why too...Google has had many legal disagreements with Britain's national mapping agency....at one point they blocked out their HQ in Adanac park; I'm not suggesting it has anything to do with lots of their staff using Google maps for their work but....nope, I'm definitely not saying that ;p). But I would absolutely trust Google's tracking software than any figures thrown up and at the daily political broadcast, the scientist called the rise in car travel worrying also.
  8. Yeah, my dad was absolutely dismayed by this; he had lockdown in China at the beginning of the year and was shocked by it. It's basically not lockdown; it's as far as the government think they can stop the public with a majorly cut police force. Google travel data alone suggests there has only been a 10% drop in travel in the UK. That's why it continues to rise.
  9. Hopefully not ones directly associated with the far right though eh?
  10. Mainly because you can't crow about "democracy" and the people "having their say" if the biggest supporter and ally of Johnson wasn't voted in democratically. It got through to me that someone can get in if they rely on unelected officials who, most probably, received nice sums of money for their decisions. And you can be sure Trump will win can you?
  11. Ah, now that someone's mention what a dispsh!p mentalist crazy nutjob, charity-stealing loon that Trump is, you've moved away from the senility argument then...and again, if it's anything like when he was elected, it WONT be up to the US public but a bunch of unelected officials.....or are you re-writing history?
  12. I like the bit about Trump "clearly being electable" as well....not read the bit about Clinton getting more votes? She did...by quite some margin; he had to go to the un-elected electoral college.
  13. About the sum of it. Either way, we'll have to keep an eye out as Trump may not even be in office from November....remember, unlike here, he actually had to appeal to the electoral college as Clinton actually had more votes than him and his behaviour throughout the virus....and before may even turn the head of the nuttiest GOP supporter.
  14. Bugger! And I thought this was going to be full of handy tips to pass the time in isolation :S......obvs knocking one out would be high up on the list clearly....or just the verbal kind.
  15. On the money this one!.......Kim Rose or whoever's on the remain side, I bet neither were worth hearing compared to facing the begging bowl boverers.
  16. I thought that was Boris?
  17. Well obviously so was the tory scum, your son lives abroad so you'll just be ruinging the lives of the rest of the nations kids but then you're a typical right wing football supporter so you'd not give a rats behind. What a bunch of utterly contemtable scumbags. absolutely dreadful people. No shame, no compassion just in it for themselves "I'm ok, I've got a pension! I hate these foreign johnny types!!"
  18. So if you're unskilled, you shouldnt be allowed to work in Europe then?
  19. How is that pony.....free movement is a mutual right...one you wish to remove. Nothing nonsensical about that.
  20. Not without extensive documentation, visas and incredibly high medical insurance costs...But what right have you to take that right to do so throughout Europe away from anyone? I mean, I would spoil it by suggesting that most that voted leave will never exercise that right but it's shameful that they feel they can take it away from those that can...You know, the ones who like living and working with foreigners.
  21. You could. But in this world, surely that's kinda backtracking....We live in an age where we should be able to work and travel anywhere? As I say above, the EU isn't perfect, maybe not even nice, but it does give us some of that chance...I'd personally like to be able to work and move, live and do whatever I like anywhere on the globe, but we're not there yet so i see just this continent as a reasonable settlement for now. But I agree, that's a major flaw as far as the EU goes, it should be a union where economies are similar so that poorer economies do not move en masse to richer locations but sadly, we don't live in a perfect world.
  22. No matter if it severly inhibits the potential of those who haven't had the life you have had? Some people would consider that quite selfish.
  23. Does it justify him removing the neighbourhood kid's right to live and work freely throughout Europe though?
  24. No we won't but I rather like what we've created since we kicked out the tories after the war and you know, would prefer it wasn't all destroyed because lots of older folk don't like foreigners.
  25. Nor does quoting the Daily Mail...This isn't a game you really should stop describing it as such. It's going to effect a lot of people's lives...mostly for the worse so if you don't mind, treat it a bit more seriously. CNBC alright for you though? http://www.cnbc.com/2016/07/11/germanys-merkel-takes-tough-line-on-brexit-the-decision-has-been-made.html Wouldn't want to offend your right wing sensibilities with anything of the left...ohhh equality...oh no sir.
