Change the record nick.

We do have a choice, and it's one that a lot of us have taken, don't go.
-
I wonder if Rupert may be relieved from his duties by the muppets whose proxies he holds. I won't hold my breath, especially where the slimy Askham is concerned.
-
I think it will be even less if you factor in season ticket holders who can't be bothered.
-
Wes, we can't be far away from that now, can we?
-
I really think it's head out of arse time for you Prof.
-
stevegrant, you are right with much of what you say. But keeping John on the bench and Skacel out of the squad altogether is madness.

Call the big 4's bluff and let them form a breakaway league with the 'elite'. No doubt the collapse of international football will follow, but f*ck them, the greedy bastards. I don't think the appetite is there to sustain this folly. The days of the big clubs holding everyone else to ransom has to stop. I like Platini and what he says. Clubs are effectively cheating by operating under huge debts. Smaller clubs in this country would benefit from a limit on foreigners in squads, more money would filter down to smaller clubs. Personally, I think the competition was better in the 70's. Teams were more evenly matched, were more home-grown and promoted teams had more of a fighting chance of staying up.
-
Phil, it's like the chicken and egg. As you rightly say, the boardroom have been horrendously incompetent for a number of years. People have had enough. Personally, I feel that an increase in attendances will just give the board even more opportunity to f*ck up. Then again, Lowe and Wilde are going nowhere. People will stay away. Like you say, the club is in terminal decline.
-
Ask yourself why fans aren't going. Rupert, Wilde and their bullsh*t experiment. People can only put up with so much.
-
Phil has decided from afar that nimby moaners are to blame for our club's demise. I just thought it was a bit rich coming to that conclusion based on a handful of messageboard posters, and not being here to actually gauge local feeling. I don't have a cuddly profile of a CEO, but one aspect of leadership is to get others to follow. Rupert is clearly incapable of this. It's why attendances are so low. You sound like you were born to be a CEO.
-
Come on then stevegrant, what's wrong with that for starters.
-
I'm not knocking the nippers. They are giving it their all, but they just aren't good enough for this league, and collectively won't be for at least a couple of years. Precious time we just haven't got.
-
Nice to judge local feeling from afar. The club is dying because Lowe and Wilde are a pair of self-serving, loathsome arseholes. People have had enough and are voting with their feet.
-
You are joking....
-
Strachan wanted De Pedro, Malbranque and Saha. Rupert didn't, Rupert gets his way.
-
To be honest, I'm boycotting games because of the return of Lowe and Wilde. The only time I've ever done this before was towards the end of the Branfoot era. Hopefully we'll have the same result.
-
Face facts - JP is out of his depth, and is not being helped by his Director of Football.
-
It's not whingeing, it's stating the obvious. We are in this position because our boardroom has been Mickey Mouse for a good few years. I have an alternative, get Rupert and the other monkeys upstairs on an incentive deal for their wages. Tie it to attendances and points. Stop putting Tyro League players in the side and leaving better more experienced players on the bench. Stop signing central midfielders and get some full-backs in. The dream alternative is Askham and co realise how poor a businessman really is and withdraw their proxy's from him. Get Wilde and Lowe to crawl back under the stone they came from. Total football/football first my arse.
-
It's as if Rupert is writing it himself. Just write him off as a clueless idiot who thinks football started with the Premier League in 1992 Tamesaint.
-
If his friends are laughing at him what is the point in him making a statement. Might as well get Marc Jackson to make a statement as well, and Paul Allen.
-
Davies wouldn't last 5 minutes working under Lowe.
-
I disagree nick. I know plenty who are staying away for that very reason.
