  1. I don't agree. 1 on 1's can be coached. Also if a keeper is committed the last thing he should do is retreat.
  2. Shilton was the best keeper of his generation, and he trained as hard as anyone and never stopped learning. Decent coaching and training makes a real difference to a keeper. The best are the best because they work hard at their game. As the late great Roy Castle said 'Dedication's what you need'.
  3. You justify and defend Lowe's existence at every opportunity. It's as if you have something going on with him.
  4. Surprise. nickh pops up with indecent haste to defend his pal again.
  5. You f*ckwit. I already said the boycotters can't call themselves fans, although it doesn't mean they don't care about the club. Dickhead.
  6. This 'who are the fans' argument is getting a bit boring. Put simply, I would have to say that anyone who is boycotting the club at the moment (me included, although Crouch has made me think again), can't really call themselves fans. However, I would say that the boycotters care about the club as much as anyone, and are staying away for what they think are decent reasons. I wouldn't knock anyone who goes to games, I wouldn't knock anyone who is boycotting. Each to their own. But these futile arguments are getting a bit much now.
  7. I don't think Crouch would have said anything if Lowe and Wilde hadn't tried to 'scapegoat' him in the local press recently. I agreed with a lot of what he said. I think if he and Pearson stayed we would be 20k plus for home attendances. Just my opinion mind you, not a fact. His appeal for boycotting fans to return struck a chord with me. Maybe it's time I went back.
  8. If Crouch was still in charge, and Pearson still manager, I don't believe that crowds would have dipped below 20,000. Cuts would still have had to be made, but with more matchday revenue perhaps not so savage. And if an unknown manager is a contributory factor for our poor attendances then who do you blame for that?
  9. Knocking 5000 off the home gate and making our side less competitive by getting rid of decent players is a surefire way of avoiding administration! Rupert, you are a genius.
  10. 'Don't take things too seriously. It's only a messageboard'. Wade Garrett
  11. No worse than the ambulance chasers we have in this country.
  12. Cheaper to go to the pub.
  13. This is fantastic news for those that are boycotting the club because of Lowe and Wilde. Thanks Setanta.
  14. 2 games in 3 days.
  15. Big problems then if it is being built on shifting sands.
  16. You're not the brightest are you. Cup draw makes no difference to me by the way.
  17. I agree. The only person who didn't lose out was Ken Bates - and the underhand way he did his business with the ground was out of order. They fully deserved their points reduction. Morally their profit should go back to their original creditors. Dirty Leeds.
  18. I detest Lowe. But this is irrelevant. I actually agree with NickG on something.
  19. These threads seem to appear on a daily basis. What is the point? You don't like the stayaways Scudamore, and laughably call them weaklings. Your opinion, point taken.
  20. Exactly what I was thinking. Coincidence? I think not.
  21. OK, thanks.
  22. is this the start of a takeover.
  23. Rupert can't have it both ways. I seem to remember him saying he had lined up deals when he left that would have spent as much as Wilde did. They are a pair of liars who deserve each other. Lower than a snakes belly.
  24. Smoking's not big and it's not clever. It can make you look hard though.
  25. is this the start of a takeover.
