  1. The Trust, SISA, saveoursaints. What about the Judean Peoples Front, or the Peoples Front of Judea.
  2. The wine. Law and Order. The aquaduct.....
  3. Richard Chorley said on the radio that this was the only way to save the club. He said there were no 'white knights' out there. I'm not sure that is the case. Where's Morph when you need him.
  4. I don't feel responsible, but thanks for asking.
  5. F*ck me jonah, I actually agree with much of what you say. Although I do think Lawrie is an excellent figurehead for the club, and Mary Corbett is well-intentioned.
  6. I withdrew my support for the Trust because Illingsworth has been in a love-in with Rupert all season, and is too quick to point the blame at supporters for our downfall. I wouldn't want him involved, and to be honest, there would be too many big egos and small wallets to make it work. I agree with StuRomseySaint about the Trust. They are a busted flush. They should have orchestrated the protests and got the publicity at the start of the season. Instead, they stood back and let a 16 year old nipper have a go (he did a superb job as well). In my opinion, there was too much cosying up and not enough representation.
  7. You are joking aren't you?
  8. Don't really understand your point there. Administration is a result of Barclays bouncing cheques. It wasn't really a choice anyone made, rather it was forced upon us, because under Rupert's sharp leadership we don't have a pot to **** in. I don't think any supporter would think being skint is a good thing, to be honest.
  9. I'm all for protesters who cross the line getting banged up, just the same as any copper who does wrong. The problem is the courts will pass down pathetic non-custodial sentences.
  10. This seems to have become a black and white issue. Either the police are all bullying thugs, or the protesters are all layabout troublemakers. I suspect the truth is a little more like there was a minority of bad eggs on either side. The cowardly copper who pushed over that man who died should be banged up, as should the vandalising protesters.
  11. He has supported my wife's charity and is a very nice bloke, even if he is a skate.
  12. Someone will be buying a football club, that may or may not have a points deduction next season. We owe a few quid to Norwich Union and Barclays. The Council may or may not buy the ground. It is a complicated deal. It's not like buying a packet of f*cking peanuts is it.
  13. NineteenCanteen and Rupert Lowe.
  14. Agreed. Everyone should calm down. The billionaires are coming.
  15. I also sometimes work on Saturdays and Tuesdays. I am not sure if I'm the best at what I do in the world, but I'm probably in the top one. I have two daughters who are both relative successes at our local state school. Neither of them is pregnant, a drunk or a junkie (then again they are only 10 and 7). I am sure my considerable success has f*ck all to do with not going to football. I may expand on my successes in life to the forum when I have a spare half a day to compose something. I am sure you'll all be interested. Then again, probably not.
  16. I think I understood the Dutch version more than the translated one.
  17. You sound like a natural contestant for the next series of The Apprentice. Very well done.
  18. Illingsworth has got it wrong on so many levels this season. I don't take too much notice of anything he says these days. He is the main reason I have nothing to do with Saints Trust anymore. I am surprised that Davies doesn't seem to showing even a passing interest in us. I thought he was good at spotting a bargain.
  19. To be fair, I think he was suggesting that MW loves coffee. Or am I missing something?
  20. Yeah, but Lowe is a c***, Crouch is Brilliant.
  21. F*ck me, I stopped going to matches and have been threatened with redundancy. I'm obviously in the wrong game.
  22. Someone will come in and buy us Alpine, don't worry. We're OK until the Burnley game, the Administrator is taking as much time as he can to get the best deal. Obviously the asking price will be altered by what division we are in next year, another reason for the delay. I bet you were one of those who thought we would all be wiped out by bird flu a couple of years ago, or by a nuclear bomb in the 1980s.
  23. True, when they want something and have a bit of competition they will go the extra mile. Whether there is the same demand for Saints as a new model Ferrari I don't know. I doubt it.
