I saw a lot of these 'superhard Danny Dyer wannabes' pooh themselves and run off the pitch as fast as they could when it looked like they might come up against something. I think they are a joke really. I've seen a group of these 'brave young men' beat up one of our own supporters in the concourse last season. To be fair they look up to one or two older supporters who think they're Mike Tyson, but in reality are just sad tossers with crap lives. All a bit of an overreaction though. I think there were only 3 arrests.

If Lowe does come back, then in my eyes we would cease to exist anyway.

FA to investigate a "reported missing £40m"

Redknapp has proved himself to be a quality manager at every club he's been at, bar Saints. I wonder why...... -

Fair play to you for sidelining SISA. They certainly muddied the waters by saying a trust owning club was the only way to go. This was why I was so up against what I thought you were trying to do. I certainly have a different opinion of what you were/are trying to do now. -
Well they did love their mum, and looked after their own.

I'm pretty sure there was a sign at the ticket office saying it was sold out. I may quite probably be mistaken though.

See you there, block 36. Girl at the ticket office told me 20000 this afternoon. Ian Gordon was queuing in front of me. Seemed like a nice bloke.

Mawhinney better save his silver tongue for the Court Room. I would love to see him squirm, and resign, if we made him look like the idiot he is.

Very well put.

They would probably be better off buying premium bonds under your scenario. If they wanted Jacksons Farm they wouldn't have to bid for the football club. The chances of them closing the stadium down and getting planning permission to develop the land are very remote, even in this age of brown envelopes.

If we've broken insolvency regulations....
Wade Garrett replied to Wade Garrett's topic in The Saints
If no laws have been broken, then obviously nobody should get prosecuted. -
We haven't done a Leeds. They got to a Champions League semi-final, and had top quality players.

trousers, forget about all the ITKs. Well intentioned or not, none of them have been true in the last few years.

It's on the 'breaking news' ticker on SkySports News. -
shouldn't the directors responsible be prosecuted?

A long legal battle with the Football League could drag it out even more. -

If we have broken insolvency laws, then I hope the directors responsible for this are brought to account. Will be interesting to see if Rupert goes on another media offensive. I rather think he'll probably go on holiday instead. -
Crouch and Lawrie have their own box anyway, it's not like they're freeloading.

Cheers Derry. I'd put a bit of distance between your group and Chorley and McMillan if I were you. They strike me as a couple of chancers. -

Derry, what concerns me is that Perry McMillan was quoted in the Echo saying that the club being run by a supporters trust is the only way to go. I'm not sure if he is saying there is no buyer out there, or he is just pushing himself to the fore to try and get publicity and power for himslf and one or two of his cronies. I accept that a number of people involved, like yourself, in this initiative are genuine. However some people who have been spouting off to the radio and newpapers in the last couple of days I'm not at all sure about. As I said before, I think a supporters trust running the club is a recipe for disaster (I can see it all going a bit Animal Farm). But it is better than no club at all. I just hope that certain people aren't using others at the moment for their own personal agendas. -

A piece from todays Echo 'Ex-councillor Perry McMillan, from SISA, addressed Labour councillors to call on their support. "We are now in the position where unless the football club is taken over by a supporters trust there won't be a football club," he said. "This is the time when the word coalition has got to be used. All political differences have to be set aside." So there you have it. Weston Saint, he is not talking about an alternative or back-up plan in case anything goes wrong. He sees this as the only option. I think a club run by a supporters trust is a recipe for disaster, but it's better than no club at all. I still think someone will buy us. As Jonah says 'the waters are being muddied'. -

Leave it out will you. It won't save the club, they don't have the money and you know it. This is more about a bit of publicity for the usual suspects. Where have all these groups that supposedly represent us been all season? Where were the 'red card' protests that have been successful in days gone by. Where have the outspoken critics of Rupert been (The Trust, don't make me laugh). I take my hat off to people who are genuine about this. But SISA, Richard Chorley, The Saints Trust, please don't bother on my account, although you might get yourselves on the telly, radio and in the papers. In my opinion, a lot of these people have been complicit with their silence this season. That 16 year old lad who sorted out the marches is worth a thousand Trusts or SISAs. I'll do my bit to save the club by going to the game on Saturday, and chucking what I can afford into one of the collection buckets.
