I was sat in Block 7 yesterday, first time i've ever sat in Itchen (thanks to a couple of complimentary tickets!), 2nd row back, next to the bench and right behind Pards. Was cool from that perspective to hear the players banter and listen to Pards but that was where the enjoyable matchday experience ended... As expected, atmosphere was shocking but what stunned me beyond belief was some **** who was sat a few rows behind me... About 40 minutes in at 1-0 down, during the silence, this ***** shouts out to Pardew 'Oi Pards, it's crap out there, shake it up'. To which Pards turned round, ran his eyes up and down the stand, spotted the knob and put his finger to his lip to 'shh' him and said 'I know, thanks for pointing it out'. From now on, complimentary tickets or not, I shall be paying for seats anywhere else but the Itchen and the disgusting atmosphere it has.

Would have thought Commons could attract interest from higher up, maybe even a lowly Prem team such as Burnley... Pearson would be the only one worth a look i'd think, Addison is a good talent but with Fonte, J.O & Seabourne, plus the arrival of another proven CM who can hack potentially Prem football that Pardew has spoken of, I think we'd look elsewhere and TBH, don't really need him at the minute.

The majority of me is thinking this is a cracking signing but must admit to a little apprehension on the Paterson part of the deal like a few others on here. Although he is a 'reserve' player, when he's come off the bench he's looked a real handful, not afraid to run at a defender to make space for the shot, something we lack up front IMO. Maybe it's just that he's young and is putting in a bit more effort to prove himself but I think he has something to offer to us as a fringe player, if not this season, next. Hopefully it's just be a loan move... However, massively happy with the Barnard part of the deal. Our strike force will be formiddable!

Not a fanboy by any stretch of the imagination but the PS3 demo is **** poor in my opinion. I own both Fifa 08 and PES 2008 for the PS3 so am fairly impartial... To me people seem to banter on about how poor the last few new Pro Evo's have been and how there is hardly ever any major additions/improvements introduced and for most of that I agree. But this Fifa takes the mick! Same menus, same intro to each game, players look exactly the same and no graphical improvement whatsoever in my opinion. What's more the game still plays slowly, players do some riculous things and turning your own players feels like steering a shopping trolley with one buggered wheel. Although i'm not expecting miracles from Pro Evo this year, I think I can already predict where my £ 40.00 is going come October and it's not in EA's pockets.
