Too many glasses of wine tonight and too long since I was at the cutting edge of physics, but it is always interesting when there is a challnge to the accepted laws of science. As far as time travel is concerned it seems to me to be a two way street - if you want to travel in time, you need to use the fast route while everyone else is using the traditional speed of light!
