The pieces are coming into place.

A bit late in the day but has anyone who’s going tonight got a spare ticket for Saints end. Could meet at the ground

All this Reed out and Puel out is not the answer! The black box is not the answer either. The only Black that should go is Eric. The man is a total cluster...k wherever he's been. Bad luck and bad auras follow him around like the "seagulls after the trawler" (Cantona). Coincidence? I don't think so.

What a brilliant result. Get in there!!!!!!!!

I don't understand accounts either and I'm far from being a "moron". We don't know how the money is spent. We do, however, note that the money we receive from player sales is never reinvested back into the club as solid player purchases. We have gone backward in terms of investment in players. We're always told that the cheap replacements are the next Thierry Henri,s or the next Mane,s. I've seen no evidence of this yet. Our team, at the moment, are complete shyte and are doing our club a mis-service. Perhaps you're a bit moronic for not noticing that. Play the post, not the poster.

Agree. Yoshida is really putting himself about. Fair play!

Nollick Ghennal from the Isle of Man

Apparently we are being linked with a move for Shalke's Eric Choupo-Moting according to the Bleacher Report, Team Stream. Stoke City are allegedly looking at him as well. If I could post the link I would but don't know how to do it.

Where's the support up front?

Fair play to him. A genuine nice guy and a lovely family by all accounts. Any prospective and current players who see this and think that chasing the big money at bigger clubs is their only option will hopefully realise that dreams can come true at Southampton and a lifestyle far removed from Joe Public's perception of luxury is available at our club.

I think he looks like Sam Dingle from Emmerdale.

Ther's always one! This is football and has nothing to do with politics. STFU.

Brilliant! They seem to be loving it. Hope we're as good next week. Thanks for the videos!

I watched last night's match on a dodgy stream and although I was able to see that there were a lot of Vitesse supporters at the game, what was the atmosphere like? Were they hostile, good natured, supportive and noisy? I know that there were lots of the Dutch outside of Yates who appeared to be having a good time and looked peaceful enough. The reason I ask is that next week we obviously play them in Arnhem and it would be awful if our fans caused any sort of trouble, particularly for the Koemans. I'd like to think that we showed their fans hospitality whilst they were in Southampton and that this would be reciprocated in Arnhem. It's sometimes difficult when you live away from Southampton to embrace the excitement of a match and it might be nice if some of you who live there could post photos for us exiles.

Going to this as well. I'll see you there or sometime over the weekend

I'd have to agree with Pap that Liverpool is worth mentioning. It,s got more Grade 1 listed buildings in Britain, apart from London (also great to visit) that anyone into architecture would appreciate. Some excellent places to visit and good people to meet.

You're right that there were, of course, battles in the late sixties onwards between Dougal and Sammy but this one happened in Burlington Road. I can clearly recall Saints fans blocking the road waiting for the Spurs fans who came en-masse across the whole width of the road and rushed our fans, who, surprisingly held their ground. (Apart from a hard-core few most never really took part, other than gobbling off) the Spurs fans were then blocked from behind by the 'big boys' (much older than me at that time) who waded in from behind. Sammy, I'm sure, was at the front in a yellow and white Harrington (a diminutive guy really, which surprised me) and got steamrollered by Dougal's crew. Have I got the right guy?

I remember being there and at Leyton Orient. Fantastic days! I remember waiting for the Spurs fans on their way down to the station (which was normal back then) and they had a leader called Sammy. Yellow Harrington on. My understanding was that Dougal ( for those that can remember ) beat the granny out of him. Welcome to Southampton! Have I missed something in the photos? Can't see any pictures of the Choccy Boxes - only Archers Road.

I felt resigned to losing our best players but with Koeman's appointment there is now a sense of defiance. Let them go! I feel sure that we can and will replace them. This is a new era in the club's history and we should embrace the changes (if they happen) and look forward to the future with real optimism. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
