  1. I've become quite engrossed in this game with 2 characters on the go, but you do need to be able to play the game storyline in offline mode. I lost my broadband 3 times yesterday and got kicked out of the game. Bloody Virgin Media
  2. They've released Beta 2, followed by 2.01 and 2.02 in quick succession and although they've mad more features available, all of my game play has been lost. They have at least got the Search Player option working, but I still can't find pap on it
  3. Sent you a friend request
  4. Personally, I would send Gazza on loan and keep Boruc.
  5. I agree with you on Assassin's Creed. I just couldn't get into it, though I still have Black Flag for my Xbox to play. I might get round to playing it one day. I still have Wolfenstein and Destiny to play on the PS4 and since it gets such good recommendations, I ordered The Last of Us Remastered
  6. This game is available for £32 on Amazon, remastered for the PS4. I'm tempted big time, but I wondered if those of you who played the PS3 version can advise honestly if it's worth getting. I've read reviews on Amazon but can't decide as a lot of reviews are fairly biased. I wasn't fussed on Mass Effect, just didn't get me hooked. I loved Dead Space 1&2, played 3, but it wasn't as good as the first two, not a bad game, but the first 2 were full of genuinely 'sheeit your pants' moments.
  7. I'm with Pap. I had an S3 and grew to hate it, but liked the freedom that Android gives over Apple's conduit do iTunes with iOS. I upgraded to the HTC One M8 and love it, apart from one annoyance, which is constantly hitting the home scree button when I'm trying to hit the space bar button. They are too close, but it's a great phone
  8. Well I bought Destiny for the PS4 and it arrived today. Thus far, it seems little more than a bog standard FPS with decent graphics. That said, I only had enough time to download the upgrade and then install the game which seemed to take a long time. I didn't have a lot of time to actually play more that 20 minutes or so. I think it would be unfair to judge it until I've played a fair bit more.
  9. I had the same problem with freezes and crashes on the XBox but I bought the PC version included in a compilation of all Elder Scrolls games and the load times are so much quicker. Skyrim is the game I've been playing for most of the last year. I can't be bothered with Elder Scrolls Online though, not paying a monthly fee on top of paying for the game
  10. Well I saw Yes at the Gaumont for the Relayer tour, I must have seen Squire solo on bass then
  11. I never saw Glenn with Tull, but when I was at Taunton's College, we hired the Guildhall for the 6th Form students union and put his band Wild Turkey on. Band members included Berne Marsden who later went on to join Whitesnake, and the singer Gary Pickford Hopkins joined Rick Wakeman for at least one album/ tour. Gary died recently too. Cornick was immense on bass that night, I've never seen anyone do a bass solo since. I still have their 2nd album Turkey, and still listen to it.
  12. I'm afraid the days where Saints were runners up to Liverpool in the old 1st Division are long gone. The Premier league saw to that. TV money makes up the vast majority of a club's revenue, and the fan through the turnstile maybe about 20%. With all seater grounds, it's impossible to cram in more fans to make a few more quid. What is wrong with the Premier League is that it is and has always been tailored to the big clubs because let's be honest, Hull City v Burnley will not draw a huge TV audience, nor will it draw advertising revenue. We received well over the odds for the players we sold this season, so well done to us, but as long as we keep producing quality British youngsters, the big clubs will come calling. To get any change in the league now, is essentially like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas and that is the same for FFP as it is for clubs to produce English players for the National team, the vast majority of chairman don't care about the national team.
  13. Isn't this game a 2d platformer? I know I've seen Tomb Raider available on pre order for the PS4 as a follow on from the 3rd person adventure released last year
  14. £30 isn't so bad when PS4 games go for well over £40. Shopto.net have FM 2015 on pre-order for just under 30. Maybe I'll try the demo when it comes out. Maybe
  15. That's one of the things that I found missing from the more recent games, fun. When it was Championship Manager it was fun, for me, it isn't any more and I don't think I'll be getting it this year for the first time since it was CM2
  16. I was doing quite well when as I approached Chango Dock, I noticed I was 'Wanted' and as I went through into the station, it killed me. I had just got to the stage where I could afford either an Eagle or a Hauler too. Now I only have enough credits to buy 3 agri medicine. Bloody annoyed because you can't go to an earlier save point.
  17. Well I tried, but the search option did nothing at all. Well it is in Beta I suppose
  18. Cheers Pap, I'll try and add you tomorrow
  19. Cheers. I'm not that advanced into adding players just yet. I had to clear my saved game because I ran out of fuel and got shot up. My nick is Saint-Richie.
  20. Well I've tried using my controller and my joystick this morning. The problem I'm finding at the moment is lack of manoeuverability, particularly when trying to pitch up and down, it's so slow. I'm trying to do that combat scenario with the Crimson Sidewinder who shoots the hell out of me because I can't turn quickly enough to get back onto his tail. I found the same when I tried to use the mouse. Is there a way of improving this? Actually, I managed to get a reply about this on the Elite Dangerous Forum. If you keep your speed within the blue area on the speed gauge, then turning and pitching is much faster. Pap, if you flog textiles at Chango, what do you buy to take back to Azeban City?
  21. http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2013-091122-3112-99 You might find this link helpful Bern, but if you aren't a Norton user I don't know if it will let you download and use their removal tools, but it's worth a shot
  22. I bought a wired Xbox controller for Windows in Game for £29.99 whilst in Torquay a couple of weeks back, but I've also got a wireless dongle that I've got plugged into my desktop. You can get them on Amazon, but the downside is that the one I got, and a few others come with drivers on disks that don't actually work. I found a clip on Youtube that explains how to hook it up manually after downloading the driver from Microsoft. Works a treat after that. I would agree with Pap, I don't think the controller is great for playing the game. I switched headlook off because I was losing orientation all the time, but I'll plug my Logitech Attack back in tomorrow and see if that's an improvement. I've only just managed the nuances of docking the bloody thing so far and one kill in the scenarios. I did laugh at some of the complaints on the Elite Dangerous forum from people saying they weren't going to pay out for something that was full of bugs etc. Er, it's Beta, of course there will be bugs. Wakners!
  23. I just bought the beta and started playing this afternoon, but it's going to take some practice. I spent a lot of time pressing this key and that key trying to figure out how to dock. It looks awesome.
  24. I'm waiting for Elite Dangerous, but overall I'm disappointed with the current output of games for the PC. I noted that Elder Scrolls Online was out for PC well before its release on a console. I was extremely disappointed with X Rebirth, a real turkey of a game after Reunion and Terran thingy. The only other title I would buy is Chris Roberts' Star Citizen which like Elite Dangerous has been financed by fans.
  25. Shortly before he was sacked from Cardiff City, Dave Jones came for a meal with the Cardiff Saints and we asked him about Pahars and his constant injury proneness. He told us that his injuries were genuine and stemmed from an initial misdiagnosis of his original problem, and by the time it was properly diagnosed, it was too late to save his career. It could be ******** of course, but he'd been gone from Saints for some time by then and would have no reason to lie.
