Oh no it would have been good to have kept this to the end of the season. -
I couldnt get it to work sorry.

I am going to try this one http://eurorivals.net/streams/leeds-v-southampton-live_20091219.html

Sure AP wouldnt have felt the same if he had heard him singing the Harry Roberts song at Blackpool a season or two ago. Like to see him get on the pitch at Leeds and as others have said he has got on the pitch a couple of times away from SMS this season.
-
So what you are saying is that 6 people, all who are most probably over the age of 60 and have been season ticket holders before most of us on here were born cant sit together for cup games but can for all league games. So instead of just upsetting the season ticket holders in the Kingsland by moving them they have also upset the season ticket holders in the Itchen stand who cant sit in their own seats. It may seem petty to most on here but as previously mentioned I can see their pov. So if they decide to shut the Chapel down for one FA cup game and move them to the Northam, the Northam ST's would not be able to claim their own seats.
-
It hasnt just been the one game though and as I said previously it is not affecting me but I can see the guys pov on this one. He has been a ST holder at the Dell and SMS for over 45 years and should be able to have first option on his own seat for cup games, if he leaves it too late to buy the ticket fair enough but he hasnt.
-
I'm sorry but I can't see what else the club could have done really? Simple really give ST holders a week to get their own seats before letting them go, its not rocket science. We used to have the box on the season ticket renewal form asking you if you would like to be automatically sent your seat for any cup matches and your cc debited accordingly.
-
Thank you WG exactly what I was getting at although it hasnt affected me I would be pretty miffed if I could not sit in my own seat in the Northam and obviously do understand that my seat is not available for some cup matches if the opposing team takes their full allocation, but then that applies to all the block.
-
Sorry I was referring to the Luton game in particular, ST's holders in the Itchen were not guaranteed their seats I would presume this is because they have closed the Kingsland stand. I know a few ST's holders who are very unhappy as they have not been able to get their own seats and therefore will not be attending, even though they applied to get them a day after they went on sale. Why cant ST's holders in the Itchen get their own seats and given a week to get them before others can buy them.
-
No they didnt have a week to claim their seats and that is where the problem lies, it hasnt affected me but I know of some that it has, they all sit together and OK you could say that as a group they could book seats altogether elsewhere, but that is not the point they want to book their own seats.
-
Has anyone else experienced difficulties getting their own seats for cup matches i.e. JPT, FA cup etc., when you have booked the seat just a couple of days after they have been released. We used to have our seats guaranteed for a certain period of time before they were released now apparently the club are saying that they cant guarantee you get your own seats no matter when you buy the ticket or what stand you sit in.

What about someone like Herbie Taylor a well respected fan and knows everything about the club.

Though I am more than appreciative of ML taking over our club and getting rid of all the deadwood and hangers on, I still think that we need some sort of President/Ambassador for the club, someone who is held in high esteem by all in the footballing world, fans and players alike and would be a good representative of Southampton Football Club. I was talking to some older fans last night who were upset to hear that the club has lost a figurehead in John Mortimer who is no longer Club President we then went on to debate who would be suitable to fill this role if the club were to rethink the role of Club President. Nominations and ideas ranged and were dismissed for the following reasons, Terry Paine (South Africa), John Sydenham (Australia), Ron Davies (USA), Channon (busy with the gee gees), Matty (Golf/TV commitments) or to re-instate John Mortimer. Would be pleased to hear what other fans think of this. No doubt this will receive a lot of negative responses and as stated previously I am more than appreciative of ML saving our club from non existence, but would still like to see some old values restored.
-
Nothing wrong with buying tickets for games but when travelling away I presume you would be representing the club in the home club's boardroom and wouldnt be expected to pay for tickets. Do we charge visiting directors/ambassadors/presidents for seats.
-
I know John Mortimer used to be our Club President, just wondering if he was still in that role as I have seen him at some away games this season in the stands.
-
Definitely the Swan used to have some good nights in there on the way to and way back from games. Talking of old pubs, what was the name of the big pub on the way in to London was it called the winning post or something like that, we used to stop there quite a lot of the time as it did use to bring us luck.
-
Anyone know if he found a lift home, our bus was full so wecouldnt help him out he looked a bit dejected and a right billy no mates.
-
Liked the way AP got hold of James (?)last night and pulled him by the scruff of his shirt away from the bundle.
-
Stll looks a little bit out of sorts but a lot better than his last two games.

The Mill House at Hartlepool, the Landlord and Landlady were very friendy, nice clean pub too, cant really say what the beer was like but my bacardi and cokes were great. They even let us bring our fish and chips in from the local chippie.

Stewards at Hartlepool told us that we had sold all our allocation which they said was 900.
-
From all accounts about 900 there which is amazing for a mid week game that far away and didnt they make some noise, great support.
-
TB dont take any notice of them, I have some photos too and like you I am no David Bailey but most on here are very appreciative.
