And that's the point. It would be great, we’d all love it. But it's all talk at the moment. Excuse me of becoming slightly sceptical now.
-
I thought he came across well too, totally. Looked very enthusiastic and passionate - which is what we want. But we've all heard the talk. Hell, we were told ''within 48hours'' 1 week ago, and I’m sure meridian or even south today were told last night by a 'Source' close to the deal that it would be done within 'hours'. Talk is cheap...and easy.
-
I wasn't bothered about him not revealing himself. Leave that until the deal is done and dusted (As even stated by Lynam himself) The timing of it is what's bothering me...
-
There needs to be clarification now...I just hope the Swiss guy's are deadly serious - because the door HAS to close on pinnacle's bid
-
This is why the whole thing is a sham. This is the same Wotte who has no idea really where his future stands - and has to somehow train Southampton player's every day. I question the sense of announcing this on TV, when the deal is not even completed.
-
I feel numb. This has now gone beyond football matters. I know people who (as it stands) are worried out of their skins tonight. The situation now needs to be taken control of by fry - pinnacle have had enough time. For the first time ever I fear for the future of this club.

Do you think the Pinnacle bid will succeed? Poll

Not now, time has run out... -
I think time has now run out for Pinnacle, this whole episode is turning into a never ending story. I’m usually one of the more open minded posters on here, willing to give anyone/anything a chance...but this is unfortunately turning into a sham – it promised so much more. These forum posts from Lynam, although posted in good heart, have a horrible resemblance to past takeover debacles – a case of the poster talking a good deal, but never actually getting round to completing the damn thing. The latest stunt to throw the ‘money man’ into the lime light stinks of panic stations because they know they’re losing the fans...and who can blame us? I can see their stance with the league, I believe it’s a valid one – but the league will not stand down on this and no matter how many times they go back and forth between the boardrooms the situation will not change. Whilst they are dragging this out, spare a thought for the members of staff who are tonight worried out of their skin – how can they complete their monthly payments? How can they repay their mortgages? This is turning into more than just watching football on a Saturday afternoon. If they turn around tomorrow and say the deal is done then I will congratulate them and welcome them aboard...but there is a nagging doubt in the back of my mind that’s telling me that this will never happen...

Just seems like a rehash of what he said the other day on Sky - nothing new at all. And this is what worries me....they still seem to be in exactly the same position they were in a few days ago. IMO if they've not announced this by the end of the day, then it's dead as far as I’m concerned. Fry should do the decent thing and give the Swiss exclusivity and get the wages paid. – and it doesn’t ‘’NEED’’ to take another 21 days either....

Anyone seen the interview with Wotte? It's been on loop on SSN. (well not technically an interview, a short 20second clip with him in the car at staplewood) Basically, he seems a bit cheesed off with the whole thing His words - ''This has been one of the most ridiculous pre-seasons of my life. I sat down with Matthew last week, who told me they would be looking to bring an English manager into the club. This has been the problem at this club for the past 5 years, too many managers'' Not a happy bunny...
-
We'll know who it is/who it was within the next 48 hours anyway (well tbf probably 24 hours) So let's just hold tight a little bit longer.
-
We have to, if we don't - then it's over for Pinnacle and we'll go round the houses with another 21day exclusivity period. And that will cause all our out of contract players to give up and go IMO.
-
I wouldn't even do that tbh - I'd get the club and bloody well forget about the -10. There are more important things to do. I.E - Players / Manager/ and winning those 4 games to write the -10 off.
-
What is to stop another consortium paying for exclusivity?
S-Clarke replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
There is nothing to stop it. This is why it is in the best interests of EVERYBODY to get this deal done within the next 24 hours, now the league have made their stance - we are now no longer ''unsure'' of how they stand. Now the ball is back in Pinnacles court - please don’t let this drag any longer than it should... -
What a load of complete and utter guff from the FL. Completely dodged around the issue, without giving any explanations at all. (well – that’s because there aren’t any) Utter joke. At least we now know what we did at 7am this morning...

I really really hope not, but it's been my fear since we went into admin. -

A CVA is basically where the company in 'administration' agrees to pay its debts and has satisfied the requirements of its creditors. Now here’s the tricky bit in our situation, it is only possible to issue a CVA to a company in administration - SLH is in administration and SFC isn't. Pinnacle haven't bid for SLH, instead they've bid for the assets instead – these are not in administration so do not require a CVA. As SLH is being wound up, it also will not be able to produce a CVA to satisfy the FL's requirements. Take a look at this: http://www.accountancyage.com/accountancyage/news/2195698/leeds-enters-league-without-cva I think our outcome will be similar to this. As the FL held an 'emergency' meeting over Leeds status too. -
But I think the question may be....what actually is the points deduction they will now make us accept?...I’m absolutely ****ting it here tbh.
-
Another article full of pointless drivel...written by the sun.
-
Thanks again tony - this is such a breath of fresh air - we're not used to being kept in the loop like this! Seriously, all the best - you're doing a great job. I really really hope we can start thinking about football matters soon.
-
IMO it'll be B. It’s to discuss the ‘exceptional circumstances’ as to which we can be added to the league without a CVA, plus any additional point penalties...that's my take on it anyway.
-
I’d love to think that could happen, but I very much doubt it tbh - that would open up a huge can of worms that will just cause a cascade effect through the entire football league - they will not let this happen. Which is why (imo) they are now clambering around trying to find other ways to get out of this, or reasons to punish us even further.
-
That's been my biggest fear since day 1...
-
But this is where they've got us. if we do that, they will not transfer our share - so we will not be able to start as a league club.
