He was too scared, or so he said. Wasn't too scared to ask Psycho for his autograph, though....

I did Silver for my nipper's birthday last year. Not only did they give him free stuff and a proper pic with Ricky and Barnard (sent on later by the club), he also got autographs from Steve Claridge and Stuart Pearce, who were both in the bar. He was made up.

Stayed in an outstanding villa (half-board) on Brac last summer - took the nipper and his mate (both age 10). There was a pool at the villa, and it was about 30 metres from the sea. Hired a car at Split airport (flew from Soton = WIN), which was essential for getting around the island during the day. Snorkeling was brilliant, the food at the villa was totally amazing, the kids were fascinated by being able to clamber all over the ancient ruined churches, which were everywhere. Day out in Split was great . Not a single complaint, no bickering. In the evenings we drank wine while the kids played in the pool, watched Hadjuk Split on the telly with the villa owners, got invited to a village ox roast. I can't remember a holiday with kids that I've enjoyed more. I have the contact details for the villa owner if you want - he's happy to book direct without going through the agent.

Chamberlain did it (briefly) at the last home game.

Raised in Southampton - went to Highfield Primary and Cantell.

Stuart Pearce was watching Lallana tonight. Left a few minutes after he was subbed.

Saints sign 21 year old Dale Stephens on loan - official
SoccerMom replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Thought his corner was a pretty decent ball. Overall I thought he managed the situation really well. On a different matter (but can't start a thread myself) Anyone else notice that the U18s went top of their table today? -
Well, yes, but Fonte did exactly the same thing in the first half and if the ref had given it, it would have been a penalty. The main point was that precious seconds were wasted appealing for a foul that wasn't going to be given, and Swindon took full advantage. Glad to see Schneiderlin back. Made a real difference. Loved the training ground moves that made Jaidi's goal. Was too busy celebrating to see if there was an acknowledgement of that in the technical area. Butterfield did my head in - he was the only one who consistently hoofed, and at one point Deano very clearly signalled to him to keep it on the ground. The message got eventually through, but it took way too long...

Great article, but they completely b******'d up the match preview. Apparently Do Prado is a 19-year-old we signed from Fiorentina. Good old Grauniad.

Should have had Sian Massey running the Itchen line. She understands the offside rule.

Did I not hear Chaplow call Lee "Barnyard" this morning on Solent?
-
Doesn't ring true to me. He would have asked him if he was on the bus.

There was a drizzle, so it made for slick football. Went almost unnoticed on here, but it did make me chuckle. I don't think he knew how clever it was.

I met him once in the supermarket and got his autograph for the nipper. He seemed genuinely surprised and blushed a bit when I told him that he's my lad's favourite player.

It was Nottingham, after all: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5006852.stm Used to hate gigging there.

But *he* descended into a mire of drink and drugs...no wait. Charlie, never abandon Big John, why would you want to? but Willie Nelson has musical integrity to burn. Although you could try a completely different tack and get into New Orleans r&b (keeping things on a gossamer Saints-related thread): Professor Longhair, James Booker, Dr John, Neville Brothers. There is music to bring you joy.

tsk tsk. the man in black, Mr Johnny Cash. heathens.

Parallel universe. He would be outstanding if he could just learn one-touch, even two-touch, football. But why use one touch when fifteen will....? Oh.
-
There's Sam Hoskins, last season's top scorer in the Academy. Very young, though.

Haven't you seen the website today? Apparently the cover is Butterfield.

Too late. Their loss.

Got the same response this afternoon. Two lost sales then - nipper would be a bit nervous in the Northam and I respect fans' rights to enjoy themselves, so wouldn't inflict a sensitive kid on them. Really feel like the club is going the wrong direction. Radio Solent it is, then, tomorrow night.
