  1. Having watched Saints play Burnley and Yeovil in the previous rounds I could always see this as being difficult. We didn't look up for it in these games either. Mo Po doesnt want us to be in the Europa League. He has done this by 1) allowing his assistant manager to "take charge" - which belittles the cup and probably confuses the team 2) he doesn't once get up off his seat (bar 5 mins towards the end) and neither does Jesus Perez - where's the leadership from the dugout?. He doesn't understand what the FA cup can mean to people, and he doesn't want us to be in the Europa League. I wouldn't be surprised if we qualified for it in the league and then withdrew entry for it.
  2. I think the best recent Central Defenders would be Chris Baird, Matt Mills, Martin Cranie, Oliver Lancashire..you'd then have to go back 20 years plus to find someone like Matthew Bound or Jon Gittens. Suffice to say it's not a strong position for Saints youngsters to come through and fill as I think Chris Baird would be the strongest out of these and was originally a RB.

    Danny Ings

Not sure he's any different to Billy Sharp?
  4. It was embarrassing, just no atmosphere from Saints fans at all. I think OWTS was sung just twice in the whole 90 mins! Chelsea fans showed us up completely, we looked and sounded intimidated by them.
  5. I think Rasiak needs to come back, I miss his face up there
  6. We were on SKY more in League 1! Strange selection of matches, and strange amount of games for the first half. How does that compare to others?
  7. pretty sure he played against us for Plymouth in our first year down in the lower leagues
  8. ah yes that makes sense now - thanks!
  9. Have I missed something, but why were black armbands worn by Saints today? Who died?
  10. I would take Boruc ahead of Jaaskeleinen especially as he still has years on him. I agree with the rip-off team though.
  11. Anthony Pulis?
  12. He's an Argy.
  13. Andy Keogh - another Wolves player who looked amazing for one season when they went up.
  14. player most disappointed with over the last 10 years was Peter Madsen - thought he would show great potential but rarely played and was behind Fuller and Rasiak in the pecking order.
  15. So many to choose from, I would say Pulis or Forecast however that is too easy. so my vote goes to Stephen O'Halloran the loanee taken from Aston Villa during the Gorman/Dodd era in 2008 played a grand total of 1 match and never played again. Went back to Villa only to sink down the leagues quicker than Pompey.
  16. Derby for me too, the way they gloated in 2007 - awful bunch of fans
  17. Just a few names that bring a nostalgic smile to my face over the past 20 something years Colin Cramb, Paul Allen, Alan Neilson, Cosimo Sarli, Dan Petrescu, Kevin Miller, Andrew Davies, Ryan Smith
  18. Richardson has never really put a foot wrong in my opinion, a realiable defender to call upon....Butterfield however....

    Redknapp

just dawned on me you never see Iggle Piggle and Harry Redknapp in the same room.
  20. one of my all time favourites, so versatile.
  21. Still at least we kept hold of Danny Butterfield.
  22. I thought at times he looked nervous in the interview, stuttering and repeating lines. He knows deep down he has upset many fans, but the devil side of him is committed to bringing success and that comes with being ruthless.
  23. really poor coverage, they also made more out of Rodriguez announcing he was frustrated at not getting starts the day before on the website. 606 coverage is no better, fair play to the Saints fan having a go at that sarcastic pair, (Savage and that other Muppet) on there just now about the bias towards ref's decision.
  24. He's coaching with the Finland national team last time I looked
