Lets hope ot continues Like i say - i don't want to see AP go but unfortunately its not our decision. But just to keep the moaning thread going, in the the current form guide for one game, we are nowhere near the top Don't we all just love statistics !

As a fan my assessment (not that its worth much) is happy with progress BUT could do better. Unfortunately for AP its not my opinion that counts its NC/ML I would like to see AP given next season to progress the team but, for the 'moaners about the moaners', with the investment and the fact that the squad should now be pretty settled, the current form that you quote surely won't be good enough for NC/ML bearing in mind the level of investment they have made. Top 7 in form isn't good enough. I would think that AP needs to be showing NC/ML by end of season that 'on current form' we can be a top 2 side. Results like Norwich are great but results against Brentford/Wycombe etc.. are not. We have to learn how to scrap out a win against teams that are happy to do enough for a draw. Colchester are a prime example - horrible style, horrible pitch but AB gets the results. Main thing though is that i have now reclaimed the buzz for going to matches this year - haven't had that for a while.

If classed as one of our products - then Kevin Davies all day long. We need someone who can worry defences and has a great work rate. Very strong player. As for todays team - we miss someone who can take set pieces etc.. so would also like to see Bale.

Telephone booking was £3 per ticket As one person quoted - if you book at ticket office there would be no charge BUT at this time that is not an option But hey - sorry for moaning. Didn't know that passing an opinion was going to offend soooooooo many people.
-
Doesn't Carlisle link (that someone else pointed to) show concessions for booking fee ? Still disappointing. Trying to book 34 tickets for a group of us that go up with our kids to St Marys - ideally all together in particular area. Still trying to get through whilst reading forum - reading the comments that its going to end up costing an extra £100 + for this booking just 'smarts' a bit !
-
must be nice for AP to be able to pick a steady side with no changes for cups. Will be nice to see a settled side, then we can properly judge how team shaping up. Would like to see same line up as Norwich - similar performance would be nice too After way Wycombe performed at St Marys - should be comfortable win for saints.
-
All about opinions mate To use the telephone will cost £3 a ticket. Don't really give a f*** what anyone else charges - it is pretty steep - would you not agree ? Especially when you consider most of us would have been pretty happy to queue and purchase in person - that would have kept the box office team busy ! And for that fee you still can't get told what seat

The first goal was (if anyone noticed) AP shouting to KD to play ball out to AL on left. KD did exactly as asked and hence the resulting goal. Good call from AP and GOOD distribution from KD

Do think we 'sit back' too much at times that allows opposition onto us. First 35mins was superb, we played high tempo / pressure football. With the pace of Antonio & Papa we didn't let MKD defence / midfield (and their GK) have time on the ball which forced errors from them. For this level of football this is what i think we have to do all the time. When MKD scored their goal before HT, we disappeared in our own half, stopped all the hard work and let them come at us and this is when we tend to f**k up ! That said, at KO thought this was as close to our best starting XI as we could have. Pleased with most performances and really pleased and surprised to see Hammond back. Negatives (not many) Jaidi didn't look great (hopefully this is due to lack of games) and Thomas (who i really like at RB) has to stop having that rash rush of blood to the head !

MK Dons Build Up Thread - It's a sell-out, folks!

I'm a bit nervous. Coming straight from work and worried with the crowd that all the pies will be sold out by the time I get there. -
I see from that shot that some of the 'shredded' paper has blown out the office window

Trap him in the turnstiles on the way in and let the stewards p**s on him

To be fair I think thats what everyone wants. The 'problem' appears to be that AP still doesn't know his best XI / formation / tactics. And if he does - he is doing a very good job of hiding this fact ! You mention Bart / KD scenario - fair comment. Then someone says that Mills deserved to keep his place ahead of Harding because of his performance against Ipswich. But then Semi comes straight in for Thomas who (IMO) played quite well at RB. Inconsistencies in selection seems to be a problem

As a relatively 'new' poster (but someone that has read forum for a long time), wouldn't it be nice if people could argue the post rather than the poster ? There are a few repetitive posts along lines of same theme with the same points being made. As for this OP, I would agree that the 'performances' do seem to be going backwards despite the investment in the side and the apparent (on paper) strength of the squad. I DON'T want Pardew to be sacked BUT i do want AP to make his mind up soon as regards to his preferred formation / players / positions / tactics. Yes I'm grateful we have a club etc... but talking about how things are NOW/TODAY the team do not seem to be playing as well as before xmas. Lets hope it gets sorted soon. (Is this a fair analysis or should I be deemed a 'troll' / negative person. Or, for not calling for APs head, am I happy-clappy ? Please let me know as I feel i'm missing out on all the adulation/attention some other posters seem to receive )

But surely what we do have should be good enough compared to other teams / squads in this division ?
-
Play offs was always a long shot. Its not the fact that play offs is even more further away that disappoints, its the fact that the team are not performing. Pardew has an abundance of good (on paper) players. He is now the new tinker man. He changes players/positions/formations - seems unsure how to proceed / best 11 / best formation etc.. We have invested but seem to be back at square one. Performances are just not good enough. If we want to win league / go up next season then we have to be able to cope with the likes of Brentford / Colchester / Millwall / Exeter etc..
-
Im starting to think that AP is the new tinker man ! He has an abundance of players to cover most positions but keeps changing player/position/system. He really has to make his mind up as as some posters have alluded to - its like the start of the season all over again

They could have at least called the baby Nicola Congrats to the three of them

For 19C To try and keep to topic - you say you support the Echo. As i've posted previously, although I agree the initial spat was possibly OTT (without knowing all the facts) the reason i cannot support the DE any further on this issue is the disgusting way they have behaved since. Won't bore everyone with repeating items I've already posted but i feel that this is now more than resolving an issue over one article about Staplewood. With EVERYTHING that the DE has printed since - do you really think they are right ? I can appreciate some of your sentiment about freedom of local press to a certain degree but do you not think it is they that have taken things a bit too far say compared to NC/SFCs complete silence on the issue ? Wouldn't say that a lot of their 'stories' have been in the public interest - and don't agree that trying to get the scoop on the story (if this is the reason for the dispute) was again done in the public interest when i'm sure ALL OF THE PUBLIC could have learnt a lot more about their local club through the local paper if the local paper 'worked with' their local club. Can't belive for one minute that the aggrieved press were acting as seekers of truth and justice in this matter. How can the club resolve this now. People say that the club should apologise - but what would they be apologising for now. Don't think this issue is now as clear cut as they would like it to be and think it is now no longer easy to determine who is right and who is wrong. Bottom line though is that it really would be beneficial for all if it was resolved.

WOW ! there is no angle that you cannot find to continue your LM hate fest ! We discuss Murrays agenda - whats yours ? I like 'balanced' debate / discussion BUT whenever you do it you really do spoil all your work with references to MLT / LM. If you were to take your last paragraph away I could accept some of your comments as reasonable.

3 of my favourites My name is Earl (skip season 3 - that was shocking) Chuck Arrested Development - very sharp and well written comedy

Did we really start questioning everything RL did as early in his reign as you are NC ? I know there were a few that came out with the 'hockey' quotes and I know there were concerns about the reverse takeover but as for transfers etc.. really - did we ? Furthermore - two totally different regimes - one was a PLC who didn't put any money in, the other is trusted advisor of actual OWNER. Can we compare like for like and why should we so early ? Apologies but i really can't take your 'reasoned debate' at face value. You have had answers regarding your question of spending / targetted players but haven't debated any of them. All you want to focus on is RL / NC. If i've mis read your comments and you think i've missed some point (as John B seemed to see it !) then once again - apologies. P.S. do we REALLY need to explore the double standards
-
Do you not feel that the continuous reports undermining NC & SFC (as per my earlier post / the whole charity debate is the the one that really p*ssed me off) by the DE have made it very hard to repair this broken relationship ? Don't believe NC is an angel but this 'spat' seems to have gone way past a disagreement over an article about Staplewood. I agree that NC 'may' have been a bit petty with his initial response (and i say 'may' as there are still no real facts about what really happened in the public domain) but since this episode, the behaviour of the DE has been disgraceful - real 'gutter press' stuff. How do you really think NC / SFC should proceed with this matter ? You say Murray has been seeking an audience but all the public see is more **** stirring in the public domain. Not the way i would go about trying to 'be friends'
-
could also take into consideration that attendances must be a lot better than NC/ML anticipated and we continue to have cup success this season so maybe more money in the bank hence a little more available for upgrades (Sure NC said that the upgrade to training facilities was a bit ahead of plan) Don't think SFC will ever be run other than as a business - that said, doesn't mean that ML can't enjoy himself does it.

I can sometimes appreciate posters like SOG wanting to play devils advocate. After the MWilde fiasco we need people willing to discuss both sides of a story but as regards to the content of his OP, think he could be way off the mark and looking more for an argument than a reasoned debate. The way the club is run now (as in ownership etc..) is totally different than under previous management (as quite clearly put by FF) Virtually all the areas that were highlighted as weaknesses in this current squad were addressed. Money was spent (and for now doesn't look like its been wasted) How SOG can use an analogy of CB's / cheap option when we signed Fonte amazes me. Also saddens me how people seem to find it so easy to dismiss Seabournes credentials (and Barnards for that matter) all based on a transfer value.
