Let's not kid ourselves. No serious money has been spent since the death of Markus. This is more or less the same team from 12 months ago. We are nowhere near as wealthy as people believe. More seriously, we will struggle to attract players because agents, for all their faults, do not enjoy dealing with our autocractic executive chairman. Like them or not, agents make the transfer merry-go-round work....and Cortese won't play their game. As laudable as that might be, the club will suffer in the long run

The money has run out! Somebody is surely going to notice that we havent splashed the cash since that big outlay in the january window. What have we done since then? Three low-price fullbacks, a loan midfielder from Italy, and a squabble over compensation with S****horpe. its not good.

And ultimately with Rupert, the money dried up. The same is happening here. After the big spend in January, we did almost no business of any financial note in the summer. And while the merits or otherwise of people like Adkins and Howe are for another discussion, they would both come into the category of bargain basement captures - hardly names to take us to the Premier League. And there would appear to be trouble coughing up for compensation too. Like the banker he is, Cortese has gone from boom to bust it would seem. No wonder he doesnt want the media around.....

I would actually think that Cortese hasnt learned from Lowe at all. Rupert genuinely thought he knew everything. Cortese clearly shares a same level of self-confidence. Yet he has a background in banking, not football. When it comes to football, he is a new boy. he will not attract a top manager because he will not let any manager do his job without interference. By the way, it doesnt help to have him running the football club as if it was a North Korean government department.
