He is probably the best left back in the league just in front of Harding and can play on the wing. What would be pointless about signing one of L1's best players?
-
Are you saying that James has pace? It's his lack of pace which causes him to get his pants pulled down on occasion when at RB
-
I think he can tackle and gets stuck in fairly well. I'dlike to have a look at him in the middle but these games are just too crucial to gamble so I can imagine Wotton stepping in. This means that the defence often hoofs up to Lambert as there is no outlet in midfield as I don't believe there is much trust in Wottons ball retaining and distributing.
-
Think his wages will be an issue if we wanted him on loan or to get him back permanently. Not that we couldn't afford them but at 16k a week, is he worth it? IMO no.

Get in!!!!!!
-
I I could get one that would be great. Stuck in the office and only have sky sports score centre which is about half an hour behind the action!
-
we need to go a goal down so we can win 5-1
-
LOL, in the office catching up on some things and only have skysports score centre online. Think it's about 15 minutes behind. Useless!

hartlepool 2-1 up
-
as with most wingers consistency is the issue but you can't argue with the number of assists and goals he's chipped in with. his worst games for me has been when he has played through the middle but with some additions in the summer I'm hopin there isn't a need for him to play there. definetly an assist at this level and CCC due to his touch, eye for goal and creativity.

administration?!

Did the prediction league for the first time. I had us drawing one more game and winning the rest and we miss out by 2 points with us on 76 and Huddersfield on 78. It would be very frustrated to miss out by such a small margin and a strange one to reflect on as 2 more points would see us in but if you were to add the 10 points back, we would miss out on auto promotion by 1 point! (obvioulsy all based on my predictions but everyone seems to be getting a similar end of seaon league).
-
yes I think he reads the sun. this is very exciting isn't it?! shall we go and start a Dickinson rumour thread?!
-
yep that's the one. I'll ask him where he heard it from. he is less delusional than your mate as he didn't mention 5bn!
-
that's because no one can see them
-
I agree, can't see why we would be in for another left back as would rather keep Harding as he has been one of the players of the season so it would be mental to play him out of position. probably just bs!
-
my brentford supporting mate seems to think that we have tied up a deal for their left back..... not sure what his source is and I can't even remember the players name but apparently he is very good? if true, perhaps pards will move Harding out right permanently?

To all those who think we can wait for next season for promotion

We should be looking forward to transfer windows imo, which is a rare feeling for a saints fan I know. Speculation regarding all teams best players happens everyday and players will leave, that is the reality of life. The key for me is that we are not a selling club anymore. We can demand a fee WE feel is acceptable and money will be put back into the squad. So whether or not the speculation about AL is true (I don't believe he will leave btw), the feeling of doom and gloom which we so often felt come transfer window should be replaced by anticipation. If the club have a 5 year plan to reach the PL then they will know that investment into the squad is fundemental in achieving this goal. -
You are stupid and dumb for your beliefs
-
Buts thats only 1.8 points per game! Around the same points per game we have achieved since your golden days pre December 5th. Surely we would be continuing the "decline"
-
We should be promoted by then Psycrow ffs
-
And then the next manager? Another half a dozen?
-
Why did you stop at dividing the first half in two? Your miss mash of "stats" and "facts" really isn't helping in proving your point at all. You may well believe that we are in some kind of decline but I have seen enough evidence to suggest that we are a team on the up and one that will be more than capable of getting us out of this league. Yes it's frustrating that we havn't ceased some opportunities to give the play-offs a good go but afer today we still have a chance. And what an achievment it would be if we made it!

Spot on Nick. For me AP's team selection is rarely a problem. I too find it amusing how some out there seem to have a crystal ball which tells them what would have happened if a different team/formation was used. How about giving him credit for 56% of the games in which we have won under him? Not bad for someone who supposedly leaves his best players at home or on the bench.
-
Who were the best options left on the bench or at home in those defeats? And you are right, it isn't the defeats alone which have hurt our promotion chances but a whole host of reasons outside of Pardews control which have and I don't need to detail as it's been done to death.
