Totally agree Dune, those pesky foxes are all over the place! Why would anyone worry about a terrorist attack based on a vague and extremely general terror warning? The chances of anyone of us being involved in any terrorist attack, any where, any place is tiny. And that's whether or not the silly terror alert is high, medium or low. Now excuse me whilst i go and get my legs blown off in some ironic twist of fate

Fine him or take some form of internal action for being trashed at 3am and bringing the club into disrepute. Same for any other player which may have been there and set the expectations for the rest of the team. Then support him until we know what he is charged with if anything

Who?

I nearly had a fight with a guy the other day who a week previously had spun this ridiculous story about his mates abandoning him on a night out and needed money to get home. i didn't believe it but gave him a quid anyway. Week later, same guy, same story and he got really aggressive when I said that he needs a new story! Unbelievable! I live in Brighton where there is a large homeless population. If i gave a pound to everyone who asked on the way home from work it would cost me around a tenner a day

I think anyone of us could answer on his behalf!

I was also pleased with the appointment, he seems like the type of manager which in recent times would slip under the saints radar and end up doing really well elsewhere. He has a clear view on how he wants the team to play and I think if the players can consistently pull it off then we should go up this season, no problem. Be interesting to see how he does in a full transfer window come Jan. Whilst Pards was more pragmatic in how he set up the team which did cost us some points, his legacy is the players he bought in.... there really wasn't a bad signing was there?

I'm still waiting on the announement of our new manager. I don't believe anything until I see it on SW latest news. FACT.
-
I know where he lives.....who wants to come with me to egg his house and his merc? If there are enough of us we can ask Stu to lay on a coach
-
Good point...I remember us getting two pens against Yeovil last season and Rickie banged them both in. Seemed to kick start both our's and RL season

Is that the new term for crossbar?

Bournemouth chairman "not welcome" directors box (sigh)

Almost as quick as updating the latest news. Can't believe Pardew was sacked! -
Hahaha. We should run the most thick as **** thread of the year award on here. This would win hands down. So do you think we should get rid of every striker which has a dip in form? We would need to get through around 20 strikers a season! Lambert is quality at this level and we would be ****ed without him.

Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up
Dig Dig replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
There are many teams in all divisions which have poor starts when pre-season expectation has been high. As an example, look at Everton....they entered the season at least expecting a top 6 finish and are widely considered to one one of a few teams capable of challenging for a top 4 stop. Instead they currrently find themselves second from bottom. However I doubt any of us would say it's unlikely that they will indeed finish top six as it's far easier to be objective when looking in on other clubs. It's only mid-september and hardly worth looking at the league table tbh. -
And you couldn't have put that one another thread? It's nothing like Stuart Gray being appointed
-
you couldn't be more wrong if you tried and I'm prepared to ignore my girlfriend all night and prove this to you
-
Did any of this actually happen though or is this just more speculation? I've been checking on and off all day but havn't followed as closely as others so just curious to know.
-
I can see the senitment but we have a big game on the weekend which should be the first priority for everyone at the club. Im sure NA could have arranged to say good bye at another time rather than wasting valuable time with our players rather then scunny's....if all true of course!
-
No your point was that you didn't believe that Adkins can command the respect of the fans or players and that your chosen selection (even including Shearer!) would be better because.....why exactly? My point is that, in this league, Adkins has shown experience which is exactly what we need but people can't see past the fact that until a couple of weeks ago most wouldn't know who he was. You seem awfully upset about the 13 year old child comment, I hope you feel better about it all in the morning! good night

Shearer, Mowbray, Brown or even Megson Mowbray- got WBA promoted with a very strong squad. Would have been a failure if he hadn't. In the prem however, he had no clue as to how to keep them up, insisting on playing like Arsenal when they should have got stuck in. In the end they went with a whimper. And Celtic, well I'm sure he'd rather no one mention that. Very strange looking man to boot Brown- completely lost the changing room, players at Hull largely disliked him and his general demeanor is that of a buffoon. Shearer- I won't bother Megson- another "name" living off his past success. Has done nothing of any note for years and there is nothing inspiring about him.
-
No I think it is worth debating but until a new manager is appointed the debate will boil down to who do you want and who do I want. Look closely, the thread is continuation of topics being discussed on about 4 threads presently. Oh and by the way, your list of "names" in your earlier post as to who you believe would be a good manager is embarrassing
-
It seems a lot of our fans are only interested in the "name". Like a bunch of 13 year old's who cry when their mummy and daddy didn't give them Nike or Adidas. And along with this mentality, the debate about potential/experience doesn't come into it. You only have to look at the warmer response on this site towards the mentions of Shearer and Leonardo than NA to prove the point.
