And calling tranmere a "bunch of old cloggers" or whatever it was. I don't even know what it means! Just ignorant arrogance, no wonder teams at our level think we're ****s
-
Yep, even when he wasn't under much pressure he struggled to get it over half way or went into touch. He needs to sort it out if he's to have more of a chance. Kicking like that just immediately invites pressure straight back on

we couldn't afford 90k to buy our own buses? Now I know we're broke.

I think it's about time you starting using your big fat noodle a bit more and then maybe you will stop posting your tiresome, old, predictable, contradictory, inflamatory and just general out right ****ty opinions a bit less

Quick question.....why do you lean on the side of it not derailing their campaign and that Poyet is looking for a replacement? Yet when Lallana was injured you were using that as one reason why it would derail our campaign. I don't get why they are so different in your eyes

It doesn't mean we have no money, the opposite actually! How many other league 1 clubs even bothered to try and sign austin?
-
I think we know enough to assume that we have been active during the transfer window. We know NA was at Swindon the other night and I'm sure that we were one of the clubs in the running for him today as reported. In which case it would have been pointless for us even opening dialogue with the club unless we had the money to have a realistic chance of getting him. I also have no idea how much money we have but in trying to reason if we do/don't, the point I was making is that if we are after Austin or CMS, then it's unlikely that we are poor. And I'm aware that a "significant" bid is relative to the position you're in thanks.
-
Highly unlikely. I'm not sure where this no money concern is coming from and had we bid, we wouldn't embarrass ourselves in the process by bidding way below the valuation...what would be the point?
-
That may have come from Ipswich. What the Sky "sources" probably don't know is who else has had a bid accepted and are discussing terms with the player

Cheers for the background. Just curious to see why he's been out on loan so much, particulary as it seems he was linked with some big clubs earlier in his career. Sounds like he'll be good at this level though

If you really think we don't need to buy...

There we go again....talking in extremes. Using an extreme example in Utd and suggeting that my comments mean that we should never talk about managers, players etc! These things all become important when there is a consistent issue.... Burely for example...I was happy with his appointment but was glad to see the back of him after he consistently played players out of position and made very strange decisions during games. What I don't advocate is reacting on a game by game basis. -
More likely cover for Punch. If AC goes I should imagine we will either get him back on loan or look for a permanent replacement Sounds good from reading the OS but doesn't seem that Leicester fancy him too much...anyone seen him play?

Yes, the great prophet Alpine has spoken. Another famous "prophet" once predicted the world will end in 2012. Puts the 5 year plan in some doubt I would say -

Does it have be so black and white? If everything which should happen in football actually happened (x beats y because x is better/more expensive etc) then it would be a pretty boring sport. I don't laud Adkins after every win as much as I don't slate him every time we lose. It's football. We will lose games. Everyone loses games. I just don't understand the need for an inquest everytime we have a bad result....oh we need more players, Adkins got the tatics wrong, we're distracted by the Man Utd game etc etc etc. Bottom line is, when two teams cross the white line, anything can happen. -
Doesn't even make sense, particularly the bit about not bringing in anyone. We have already permanently signed Chaplow and Guly and tied up Lallana to a 4 year deal which won't be cheap! This in itself shows that investment in the team is still happening. Is a tad irriting how we can't go more than a couple of months without someone popping up with this sort of ****e

It's not a shocking result ffs. It would have hardly sent shock waves through the world of football. Whats truly shocking is the irrational reaction to every ****ing defeat. Yet we seem to ignore all the other teams around us being beat at exactly the same sort of places every week -
I think you should have: Hoddle. 2004. Vocal Minority. Demise. Tatooed on your forehead as a constant reminder to anyone who looks at you. Don't let this message be confined to the history books

I don't expect to see lallana tomorrow but big difference between missing a game and being ruled out for the season as some were predicting. Should we be signing a replacement for this game or do we think we will manage?
-
Name one striker who has never gone through a slump in form in their career? He's had niggling injuries to overcome and just needed time to get fitness and confidence back. We are very lucky to have Rickie Lambert, his technique and vision is not something we have had in the side for a long time
